Stop me if you've heard this one before

Sucks. Trice is a quality player when he's healthy. A true asset to the secondary.

**** who is available out there? Has to be a vet floating around..

So before people start overreacting... Trice will return this season.. he has horrible timing, thats all... the Steelers have multiple positions in injury distress.. RB, Olb, OL, and CB are all battered up... at CB sutton is suspended, Rush was inactive with something minor this week, and DJ had to leave the game for a bit last week... Rush may or may not be ready this week, and they cant go into a game with 2 cbs...

you cant really cut a position player elsewhere, cause every position is fighting injuries or is too thin to trim further... so basically whoever was further away from being healthy at CB was going to get IR'd

He will probably be back in four weeks.... unless Pierre does fine, then they may give him till after the bye...

He has played extremely well... so they wont end his season on a minor hamstring pull

Honestly, teams should be using IR every time someone gets a soft tissue injury. They are 4-6 week injuries, get him back to 100% and reload. I'm honestly surprised Highsmith isn't on IR. Groins suck for Edge players and will sap his explosiveness until healed.

But there's a yearly limit

The NFL, in it's infinite stupidity, put a limit of 8 that can come back in the regular season... the total increases to 10 if you make the playoffs

The thing is, unlike other sports, you dont get cap relief for IR'd guys... so the cap itself creates a natural limit of how much you can exploit this. The limit was not needed

The league should let every player get healthy without penalizing teams...

That poor kid just can't catch a break! Hopefully he fully recovers and can be a contributer the 2nd half of the season. I really am rooting for him!

Never said that Trice's hamstring issue was season-ending. Nevertheless, it still sucks. Would've liked to have seen him on the field learning, growing, and improving without the suspension of another injury.

So much potential. Just seems to be snakebit. Hope he can get over it.

I hear yaz bkwheat28 and sympathize for him. I truly want whats best for him and for him to except what that might be.

Salute the nation

Hamstring injury is much better than shredding an ACL.
