Suisham has new deal

I think he's coming of his career best year, he was very good.

He's solid but can't we find a kicker that can kick past 50 yards? Seems like everyone else can kick 60 yarders.

I think pretty much every kicker is good from 60 yards less than 50% of the time. Some are just good under pressure. 60 yards is not a high percentage kick for anyone or there would be many more attempts by coaches. That ain't by accident.

he was great aside from the oakland game. He is very reliable from inside 45 yds.
If the new punter has a stronger leg they should use him on K/O's
The deapest Sushi's kicks get are usually 1-3 yds into the endzone where the returner takes off, Would like to see more touchbacks fror our D.

I'm with you. He has really stepped up and become a dependable option, but his leg isn't getting any stronger and his range will decrease over the next few years on field goals and kickoffs.

the crazy-*** weather of Heinz Field and we have a kicker who has been rock solid...

...and ya'll want to try to find someone "better"???

All we need a FG kicker to do is make the PAT, make solid FG's and occasionally win a game in clutch situations...He's done that. Don't look a gift-horse in the mouth son...

Haven't we taken care of this myth? No kicker struggles at Heinz Field. I've watched many kickers routinely kick field goals over fifty yards during games. I've seen college kickers do perfectly find there. The turf has been pretty much near perfect in the last 6 years or so.

He has been far from rock solid, in 2011 he had the worst FG percentage in the NFL.

He's ok, was getting paid well... Hopefully we didn't pay him like he is great

I like the part about him doing better as time goes on. Now if he could only beat up a paper towel dispenser we might have something.
