I know it has been cruel to withold this from you all for so long but your wait is over. There will likely be some trades but i didn't bother predicting any. It's just too hard.

1 Cleveland - Myles Garrett
I can't see not drafting him but you can make the case. They drafted Ogbah and Nassib last year and they seem to like them. If they really do have Trubisky graded as a frinchise guy then they should grab him because SF might take him at 2. If you love him then take him, don't mess around.

2 San Fran - Mitch Trubisky
everyone is saying Soloman Thomas but they've used high picks on the 2 DL from Oregon the last few years. QB is by far the biggest need and Trubisky seems a fit with Shanahan.

3 Chicago - Jonathan Allen DT Alabama
most have Jamal Adams here but S is pretty deep and they can get a good one in RD 2, but won't be able to get a a DL like Allen later

4 Jacksonville - Leonard Fournette Rb LSU
they have invested heavily in defense. I can see them going with a Adams or Hooker here to possibly cap off that defense, but they need offense. When you look at the Jags roster, they actually have lots of talent now so they really can take a RB this high

5 Tennessee - Jamal Adams S LSU
If Trubisky is available, this is a prime spot for a trade up to get him. If Tenn stays here, i think they get Lebeau that safety he needs.

6 NY Jets - Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State
If trubisky is here, he could be the pick. I can also see them going with OJ Howard here.

7 LA Chargers - Soloman Thomas DE/DT Stanford
they need a S badly so Adams or Hooker could be the pick here, but if Thomas slides, i think they grab him to paid with Bosa and grab the S later

8 Carolina - OJ Howard TE Alabama
WHat? They have Greg Olsen already. Yes, but they need an offensive weapon and Howard could free up Olsen to be more of a WR and maybe extend his career by having him block less.

Fournette would be the pick is he's available but with him gone, I don;t think McCaffrey is their type of player. Howard can help the run and pass game.

9 Cincinnati - Reuben Foster LB ALabama
this guy is exactly what they need and some off field concerns seals the deal that he's a Bengal

10 Buffalo - Mike Williams WR Clemson
They have a huge need at WR. Williams is a great pairing with Sammy Watkins

11 New Orleans - Derek Barnett - DE Tennessee
They can pick just about anything on defense and not go wrong.

12 Cleveland - Malik Hooker S Ohio State
with Trubisky off the board, they go best player available

13 Arizona - Marlon Humphrey CB Alabama
Could they go QB? I doubt this high. They need a CB

14 Philadelphia - Christian McCaffrey RB stanford

Eagles need a playmaker. McCaffrey can be a RB and a slot WR

15 Indianapolis - Garett Bolles - OT Utah

Luck is taking a beating. Draft is thin on OL so better grab the best one here.

16 Baltimore - Cam Robinson OT Alabama
Ravens want to get back to the strong run game and Robinson could give them their bookend Rt to go with their top pick from last year

17 Washington - Dalvin Cook RB Florida State
This offense needs a good Rb. "Fat Rob" Kelly is just a backup.

18 Tennessee - Corey Davis WR Western Michigan
Have to get Mariotta some weapons

19 Tampa Bay - Adoree Jackson CB USC
I can see them going with Njoku here but Cameron Brate was pretty good last year and TE is deep. Jackson fits their mold

20 Denver - Ryan Ramczyk OT Wisconsin
Their OL has fallen way off. Need to fix it quick

21 Detriot - Haason Reddick LB Temple
They need a playmaker on defense and Reddick can do it all. They have shown lots of interest in Reddick.

22 Miami - Jarrad Davis LB Florida
They could go with a pass rusher here because Wake is old but they can't stop the run at all so they need a LB. They signed Timmons but still need another LB. They have shown more interest in Davis than Cunningham from Vandy

23 NY Giants - David Njoku TE Miami
they haven't had a good TE since Shockey. Njoku could really be dangeroud paired with Beckham

24 Oakland - Zach Cunningham LB Vanderbilt
Raiders have a few needs but this could be their last shot at an off ball LB that can start immediately

25 Houston - Pat Mahomes QB Texas Tech
Hard to see Houston not taking a QB here. They have visited with all of them. Mahomes has the most upside and with O'Brien seeing himself as a QB coach, i think they swing for the fence. Mahomes's dad was a MLB player so he grew up around pro athletes and he knows how to work.

26 Seattle - Obi Melifonwu S Conn
This guy is exactly what Seattle looks for in DBs

27 Kansas City - Deshaun Watson - Qb Clemson
Chiefs have met with nearly all the QBs in this draft so they must be serious about taking one. Watson doesn't have a great arm but he's mobile and a good fit for a west coast system.

28 Dallas - Tak McKinley LB UCLA
Their defense is terrible. They drafted Jaylon Smith last year which shows they are not afraid to take a guy with injury risk

29 Green Bay - Fabian Moreau CB UCLA
They could go with Watt here which seems like such an easy pick but i think they need CB more. They could also take RB Alvin Kamara here since they need RB badly.

30 Pittsburgh - TJ Watt LB Wisconsin
The steelers really could go any direction here if they have high grades on other OLBs that will be available later. This pick could be Budda Baker or Peppers if the rumors are true. I can also see TE Njoku or Evan Engram here as well.

31 Atlanta - Charles Harris DE MIssouri
Their offense is good. Defense needs work. They lost in the SB because they got tired. They need a rotation at DE and Harris fits their mold.

32 New Orleans - Taco Charlton DE Michigan
This could be CB or a trade for Malcolm Butler. Charlton is a guy they have visited and would be great value here. Paired with Barrett from earlier in RD 1, they could transform that pass rush in 1 draft.

Absolutely love the TJ Watt pick. I just hope he's there when we pick.

He's gonna be a good player.

no Tre'Davious White in the 1st? He's at 30, I take him.

T J's knees will never hold out....plus coach likes him....he has to be a bust

I too have a funny feeling that Watt isn't quite what some people make him out to be. Can't put my finger on what it is, but I'd rather we go with someone else.

I have to admit, with Green being an utter and complete bust and with the receiving corps basically falling apart the last 2 years running I kind of feel like they need to find a rock solid TE threat. I like James, but I feel like a 2 TE set with Bell in there might be worth looking at, particularly if the TEs were relatively threatening.

That or a good (I mean GOOD) CB.

As i was going through mocks on the simulator, i kept purposely not drafting OLB in RD 1 just to see if you can still land one later. The answer is Yes, but you are taking a risk.

Some drafts went prefectly where for RD 1 i would take Njoku, or a WR or Budda Baker, anything but OLB or CB just to see if i could still land them in rouds 2 and 3.

Sometimes it would work prefectly whwere i could get something like Budda, Rivers, Rasul Douglas with the first 3 picks. Other times it would be a nightmare where i end up in Rd 2 and 3 with no OLBs worth the pick and i'm come away with somebody liek Vince Biegel in RD 5 as the only OLB i got. I actually like Biegel but the point is, that you better be damn sure you can land an OLB if you pass on one in RD 1.

That's why i went with Watt in my final mock. With OLB addressed, they should be able to easily get 2 DBs who can contribute as rookies in the next few rounds.

If you could guarantee me the Steelers could get Derek Rivers in RD 2, i would not take Watt in RD 1. It is just such a big need.

How many years did the steelers need a good CB and it seemed every year, they would pass because there was supposedly not a good enough value when they were on the clock and they'd end up drafting CB in RD 5. That can happen in the draft at OLB and to me, that is the worst case scenario for this draft.

Steelers could use a TE but if they don't get one, it's OK. Same with WR. They can use 2 DBs, a CB and a S but they could get by just getting 1. But the one thing that can sink this season is if they come away from this draft with another Jarvis or Chickillo level guy as their best pass rusher.

I think he is going to be a solid NFL player.

Tape, I totally get your rationale for not wanting to miss out on an edge rusher. What we need to keep an open mind about, is that we have no way of knowing how the Steelers have these edge guys ranked. For instance, they may have 2nd round grades on several guys we view as 3-4th round players. They also could easily have some of 'our' higher ranked guys with lower grades. And of course there's the other scenario where certain players start dropping in the 1st that may - unexpectedly - be there at #30. I've done some pretty bizarre mocks with guys like Solomon Thomas for instance still on the board. Another example is TMC took Derek Barnett & Charles Harris off his board, yet the Steelers may think quite highly of them. Again, we have no way of knowing for sure. It's the beauty of the draft, the unknown aspect of it.

I can see Green bay taking Watt. Doesn't Watt seem like a bratwurst , cheese and Kraut kind of a pick?

That would be perfect for Cleveland taking a guy named "Hooker."

I might be way out in left field here, but don't be shocked if the Steelers pass on edge rushers in the first three rounds. Just something I have been kicking around. I think they like Watt, but I don't think he gets by Green Bay. Hometown kid, big name, compared by some to Clay Matthews. Just too much to pass on.

Just to put this out, TJ Watt grew up 2 hours from Green Bay.

I would love to see us trade up and pick Mahomes. I love this kid and I especially love his attitude. let him sit behind Ben a year or two and he would be a stud.

so the Steelers will have to trade ahead of Greenbay to get their man.

Maybe they should pick a small guy from Houston.
