I live in MD. In 2006, we had 12 Fortune 500 companies HQ'd in our state. We now have 3. Over the past 4 years, the Democratic Dick Head in Charge (I mean Governor) instituted over FORTY new taxes (including taxing us on rain - no bullshit) and little by little companies are leaving. I think something like 13,000 or 30,000 residents fled the state as a result of taxes as well.

Look at California vs. Texas.

Yet they will claim higher taxation is working. SMH. You can't fix stupid.

That's just corporate greed. How dare that evil company want to keep the profits it makes.

My liberal friends on FB are appalled that companies are moving overseas. They are throwing out all kinds of crap about how they are no longer really American companies and they are traitors. Some of the same people that are defending that Bergdahl *** clown.

I would like to interject my favorite Reagan quote at this point "Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn’t so."

I love the Libtards I see posting about this on FB and saying that the govt shouldn't "let" corporations move out of the country without realizing that they are advocating true Facism.

The Government will respond by having the FDA slow down the approval process for any of their products in the US. Who cares if the products might save lives, or improve the quality of life for Americans. We'll show them.

Oh, and all the emails will be lost on crashed hard drives.

Perhaps people should look at the reason WHY American companies find it inviting to move over seas. Couldn't be that the US has one of the highest corporate tax rates in the world. In fact, based on this link, we are second only to the UAE.

Yeah, I would rather pay 20% than 40%. Don't know anyone who would. Well, anyone honest, anyway.

When the government ruins these businesses they will take them over and produce whatever it is that the company produces themselves. The quality of those products and services will improve greatly and become cheaper to purchase due to the well known ability of government to produce quality products via its equally well known and renowned efficiency. Then the government can tax itself at even higher rates than what currently prevail.....the possibilities are endless.

It nags at me that there's a flaw in my theory somewhere but I can't think what it might be. You ignorant racist teabaggers will point it out I'm sure.

You might be thinking about the taxes. The government doesn't tax itself. For example, the post office is exempt from paying federal taxes. So that makes the business model you are exploring even better. Higher quality and lower cost should be the result. Throw in a federally enforced monopoly and now your are talking about a massive innovation impetus on top of everything else. It's a no-lose situation.

I also live in Md. The taxes that are thrown at the people in this state are insane. State tax? understood . county tax? ok rain tax? huh? bonus tax is 46% what? an extra tax if I want to order liquor at a restaurant? get the **** out of here!!

Easy, invent a new IRA/401k/any retirement savings tax. 10% off the top should keep those kids in Jordans and well fed for a couple years. By then those kids will be functioning parts of society that will contribute to the machine. (sarcasm intended)

The harsh reality for teabaggers is that the US economy always prospers the most when taxes are highest. It is the fact jack, not what right wing propogandist tell ya.

Actually read that on Facebook...

It's easier to run for office by telling the majority of people that we won't tax YOU but we will take money from those other people over there and give it to you or otherwise make them pay for government services so you won't have to. If you vote for me.
More people working means less people who are dependent on government and will vote for Democrats (and some Republicans). Gotta shift your paradigm.
