Terrible Tailgate - ATLANTA with Greg Lloyd and Yancey Thigpen

Sounds like it'll be a blast.

Met Greg before he definitely is the memorable meet type. Never met Thigpen definitely sounds like fun!

Some brilliant mod should make Terrible Tailgates a sticky thread in the Football side

I called into Calling All Sports one year when Yancey was a guest and ended up getting on the air. I think it was before the AFC Championship game against the Chargers. I have no recollection of what I asked, said etc. once I was on air, but I did get a call shortly afterwards from someone I had grown up with asking if I was just on that show. I guess I have a fairly distinctive voice, and he called information to get my number. That game ended up sucking.

That's my Yancey story.

I guess my Greg Lloyd story would be traveling to Cincy to see them play when he & Kevin Greene were on the team. Some guy sitting behind us claiming to be a DEA agent told us we needed to quit blazing up in our seats. We had taken some cigarettes, mixed the tobacco with some Mary and put it back into the wrapper so nobody would know. I'm not sure whether it was the smell or the fact we were passing them around that gave us away.

I spent some time with Yancey at a bar after an NFL charity dinner. He was super chill and kept giving female fans "squeezes." He sure seemed to be having a good time. He just planted right next to the bar.
