That 32nd overall is going to make for interesting draft.

That is the sit on for 18 hours pick. It's not if you get an offer. It's how big is it? Every year a superstud falls out of first round. He can be a game changer for you or it could be a Q passed up on round one because value wasn't there. But someone around 8-10 round two loves and you get that and a 3rd and a 4th. If they draft like last year, That could remake this franchise.

The pick is in. With the first pick in the second round of the 2023 NFL draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select…. Siaki Ika DT Baylor.
Looked at profile highlights. Would prefer with our second two or in a backup trade that nets more picks but probably not at 32. Like the player though.

My guess is LT, ILB, DT, and WR in no particular order.

That is why i was paying more attention to the bears and Texans scores than the pats and Miami… I expected one of those team to win and screw us out of the playoffs… because it wasn’t happening twice in two years lol… but the difference between the second pick in the second round and the first is immense … if a coveted stud falls you can get something great just to move down a little, and you have time to thoroughly evaluate everything

Only team that screwed the Steelers out of the playoffs was the Steelers.

^^^THIS^^^

You beat me to it.

The ONLY blame is the team itself. That definitely INCLUDES coaching.

who will we draft at 32?

find any mock draft. scroll to the 3rd round. scroll to the middle/end of that round. close your eyes and move your mouse around. count to 5 and open your eyes. voila! there's our dude.

That is my hope too.

Round one best tackle on the board...likely B. Jones.
Round to pick A. DT/NT Sika
Round two pick B. G Vorhees

We need to replace Moore Jr, whomever starts at NT and shifts to DT in the 4-3, nickel, and dime and the mediocre and penalty prone Dotson.

Round three ILB Campbell
Round four QB Duggan

A qb at 4? They may take one in the seventh again but i think they would go CB or S there with what you have selected so far

Cooch is a Pickett hater along with our resident snowflake. They should start a fan club.

to yalls point, the 32nd is only 1 pick from 33rd but way way more important. some that some is in love with will fall. dont know who or what position, but it will happen.

Hopefully we can trade back a bit and still get a Starter,

oh, idea!

save the DT pick. Convert Kendrick Green to DT. He's proven he can collapse a pocket, apply pressure on the QB and immediately close holes for the RB.

You know, green’s big issue with the new blocking scheme was all technical… when they went to more of a drive blocking aggressive off the snap deal after the bye he might have been more useful… but its not like he could have been less useful lol

Green should be gone........................ he would look good in space. The whole problem is they never let him operate in space.

RD1 and 2; We need the best CB or OL, But knowing Capt Cool Shades, he'll draft an Edge and WR. numb nuts! "He had pedigree" and "Can't coach speed"

Does Vorhees have a goalie mask and machete.

Am I the only one who thinks if we re-sign Sutton, keep Wallace, and move up James Pierre we have a decent enough CB core to get it done? I mean Wallace had 4 picks (career high) and a 63 PFF rating overall. Sutton had 3 picks (career high) and had a 72.2 pff rating overall. Pierre had 1 pick with a 70 rating overall for pff. That isn't a bad secondary. I mean I wouldn't mind a Sauce Gardner but I don't really see that in this draft. Joey Porter Jr is probably the best of the bunch in this draft and he is a good cover guy but he isn't great and making turn overs. That could improve with coaching but it is still a little concerning. I guess I always thought a good pass rush makes your secondary look better. I would say LT and ILB are glaring needs with DL, WR, and CB all being secondary needs at this point.

Totally, its a secondary not a CB. They would need to make the moves you outlined and retain a starting SS. They lead the league in interceptions. Plenty of breakups and not many splash plays. I was happy with that group as a whole.

I don't see why we couldn't sign both Kazee and Edmunds to be honest. And if we want a CB this is a deep draft. It actually is a deep OT and CB draft. Neither seem to have an elite prospect but there's a lot of high quality starters sitting there. I personally would rather take Trenton Simpson round one then go either Broderick Jones at #32, Anton Harrison at #48.
