(This will be interesting)
So they beat the Steelers in what had to be a huge emotional win in the playoffs after forever of being **** upon.
The Q is on national commercials about living in the stadium (like what millionaire would want to live in the Browns stadium) and 14 months later even though he deeply wanted to make it work for them they took a huge dump on him.
They go get a dirtbag who only wants to be there because they were willing to pay his 22 plus million in NDA's and still put him in the big house.
Meanwhile the Steelers make a move for a guy who isn't flashy and got drafted by a dump truck organization but might very well be a great fit. Then they surrounded him with a bunch of moves that could make for a hell of a defense and an improved line in front of a monster back.
So the Browns needlessly swung for the fence while the Steelers "rebuilt".
Will be interesting. Who do you think will win in the end?

Teams usually win more than individuals.

Plus the Steelers are in a lot better position to get a QB next year than the Browns will be in to build a championship team. Last two champions were built well then a QB was added.

I will have to be convinced by seeing that they have not found their Q already. I could be wrong. Bee wrong lots. But will have to see.

Look, like you said, the Brows will be the Browns

Ive said for a very long time that is an immature franchise. When they won that playoff game people forget that after the absolutely worst start a team can have we still very nearly came back at the end… that would have been a totally browns collapse… hell they nearly lost to our scrub committee in the last game and would’ve missed tge playoffs completely had that happened… yet tgey felt free to announce that they had arrived and were the team to beat and promptly and totally expectedly imploded….

Hell the front office literally blew up their own leverage by formally acknowledging they were trying to get him publicly and then criticizing their starter… now there is little chance they will be able to trade baker, whose entire paycheck is guaranteed this season… 18mill plus.. they almost certainly will have to cut keenum regardless of what happens with mayfield… hell there is speculation they will have to pay a team to take baker for cap relief…

Thats what you get with impatience…

The Browns screwed themselves with all of this but I'm fine with that... The Steelers were smart and did not swing for the fence in FA for one or two players... Nothing fancy but solid and the contracts seem Steeler friendly if you will.

Wonder what suspension will be? Read below he costs browns less during suspension

To Cleveland, structuring Watson's contract so that when he is suspended he'll lose only a minimum amount of salary was worth agreeing to, which is arguably the most vile detail in all of this.

200 million fully guaranteed and 3 1st round picks. He has 6 more wins then sexual assualt allegations. This is not Hyperbole. I could run an NFL franchise better then that.

The Browns are the NFL equivalent of having to put a pork chop around your neck so the dog will play with you. He didn't even want to play there. They just offered him so goddamn much that he was like. Ok whatever.

You know he'll bleed brown and poop

Again, the Browns are paper champions in the preseason. Until they win something, they will still be the Clowns.

The writer of that article just couldn't resist bringing in systematic racism against African-Americans. He lost me there.

I wish I could give credit to whoever brought up the point at least five years ago that NFL teams win on a great young QB's first contract, since it gives the team such value that they have cap room to build the other positions. Cannot recall who it was ...

Anyhoo, more and more, I see how correct that analysis turns out to be. Ben rookie contract - two SB wins. Mahomes rookie contract - SB win, SB appearance. Seattle - Russell Wilson. Philadelphia - Carson Wentz (yeah, yeah, Foles, but Wentz). The exceptions have been Tom Brady (**** him) and Peyton Manning.

So I want the Steelers to hold out and draft their next great QB. It's not going to be this draft. It just isn't. The talent level of this QB group is not very good and the chances are 80% that a 1st round QB will flame out and be another Sam Darnold. Wait for 2023 or 2024. Continue to build the OL and DL. Cam not getting any younger and he is a FORCE.

Yeah I don't think there is any coincidence there and as to the outliers I do think this happens. With a franchise player at QB you can get a second window to win a championship. So you win when they are young and inexpensive. And you might get a second window as you can draft young and inexpensive players around him. For the Steelers that second window came in those losses to Jax and the Pats. Those should have been championship seasons but they have coach issues too.
But for the most part I do agree.

Now will the NFL to the correct thing and suspend him. or look the other way
Well to me the League had no impediment to him playing last year. They suspended Ben for 4 games for less than 1 percent of the issues this guy has. So if he doesn't get at least 10 games it will be a shock to me.

Good article until she got to kaperdick. Which was 100 % bs. She obviously didn't do her homework on that dude, not by a long shot. If he really wanted to play he would have been playing 5 years ago. Nobody is going to turn their team into the militant marxist pig socks show. Guy is a fake and says some of the most absurd fictional nonsense I've ever heard. Probably listened to too many louis farrakhan hate sermons. He certainly parrots that type of man.

Pretty sad, because sports is a great unifier of all people.

You would think that Rodger would throw the book at him, if he’s got the balls. The slimy way this trade and contract structure went about, with the media reporting every step. Not a good look. Just wait till the juicy details come out.

What really gets me is that not only did he sign a massive contract before his rub downs.....he got a massive raise for sitting out a year and all the charges being produced. I just don’t get that any team would rework his contract. If anything, he should have been shown less. The frigging media circus he will bring. No thanks

Now that being said......should Steelerfans take a wait and see attitude With this guys innocence?

After all if any fan base used the old..... they found no evidence.....there were no charges.......

Isn’t it funny how it goes when the shoes on the other foot.

Maybe the Pittsburgh media should cover his story a lot, forcing the NFL to talk about it.

I'm just going to give my perspective on the difference here. So Ben never faced charges and if lawsuits happened with NDA's it was quiet. The first woman was easily discredited. The second not as much. I think.Ben was a first class ******* at the start of his career. I think he took on the Big Ben persona and he was a creep when he drank. He was in my mind certainly out of line with a young woman at a bar. But she was there and wanting to be with a celebrity and things probably happened. I was never comfortable with the security footage disappearing. After that incident he seemed to learn his lesson. Settled down and became a family man and at least publicly a great teammate. Now that doesn't exonerate him but considering his legal situation he had a right to make a living as does Watson. Ben paid a pretty heavy price. He lost untold sums of money in endorsements and I'd imagine being called the things he was isn't pleasant.
Now Watson he isn't drunk and boarish. He us showing up at these places and demanding sexual services from legit therapists. That won't be cured by slowing down the binge drinking. He has his freedom and right to make money, but 3 first rounders and 200 million guaranteed? Again if you cannot pick at least a Deshaun Watson with one of those three first round picks. WTF are you doing in an NFL front office.

Less than 1%?
So far, 22 women have accused him of asking for happy endings, getting an erection while being massaged, asking for butt rubbings, and trying to move their hands towards his penis and anus.
All bad things.
But as of now, simply accusations.
And flimsy enough of accusations that a grand jury thought there wasn’t enough for criminal prosecution.
If you know anything about grand juries, that means there is NOTHING there. Grand juries don’t say guilty/not guilty, they say there’s enough here to go to trial.
Ben was accused of rape…..twice.
Again, just accusations.
But of the two, you’re saying you’d rather be accused of raping two women than requesting/trying to force The Robert Kraft Special from 22 people?

The security footage that disappeared wasnt even in that part of the bar and that happens a lot in investigations of bars because the owners don’t want drug use or serving drunk people to be exposed… it sounded more nefarious than it was…

If anything, Roethlisbergers group, made up partially of cops, was partaking of substances they really should not have been…. The rape story was impossible in the bathroom it supposedly occurred in, and the girls social media accounts they tried to delete clearly defined a conspiracy to set him up for being mean to a sorority sister and her boyfriend…

Georgia was definitely fake… but there were probably other things ben could have been suspended for happening there

I don't think the 22 accusations are flimsy. She says he stuck his dick in my face and told me I should suck it or he would ruin my career. He says I asked if she would suck my dick and she said sure. How the **** are you ever gonna prove that one way or the other. You think all 22 just made this **** out of thin air.
It's not what Someone is accused of. And I don't think the second girl accused Roethlisberger of anything. It's what could have a plausible explanation. I think Ben's story is about 15 million times more believable with actual background on the two women provided by Madinsomniac above.

I read an article on ESPN this morning and even they are thinking his bare minimum suspension will be 6 games. I think it should be at least double that to be even close in comparison to what Ben got. But, if he does say miss half a season, that's half a season out of probably 2 or maybe 3 before they start cutting players to stay under the cap with Watson, Garrett, Chubb, and Cooper alone. And, they won't have top draft picks the next 3 seasons to reload. They better hope they have learned how to draft in the later rounds.
