The Official Please Don't Draft Shedeur Sanders Thread

Kiper is garbage... he exists because he started doing draft projections before anyone else...

He once bet he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasnt a successful NFL qb... but like all of his legions of failed projections, simply ignored it when it was wrong

Wait, you're saying Jimmy Clausen was not a successful NFL QB??

I watched Sawyer's highlight film. Not a lot, maybe 40 plays but shows he has a good first step, 2 pretty good pass rush moves (very good speed-to-power, really good technique quick step outside followed by dropping inside the tackle), and holds the edge really well against the run. Seems to have been well-coached at THE Ohio State since he holds the edge and does not move on the ball carrier until forcing him back inside.

He is going to be a distraction and a locker room cancer. Hooray for the Browns.

We had our purcatory with Antonio Brown and he was a good receiver. In the QB position we are in now we don't need Sanders and the media hype that would bring.

I think it's hilarious that they also drafted a QB in the 3rd. Can't wait for Pickett to be their week 1 starter and can only imagine what Coach Prime will say!

Right, unless the Browns have the intention of starting Sanders, they have created a whole different problem for themselves.

And if Rodgers ends up with PIT, Cleveland will take some of the media circus away.

He's a mediocre talent who believes he's elite. He's been told that his whole life. He's had everything handed to him and never had to work for anything. His dad became a coach to insert Shedur as starting QB and Jax State, then they jumped ship to Colorado, a bad team where Deion could once againt simply insert Shedur as the starter. He drags Hunter along to help Shedur. He designs an offense to give Shedur stats, not win games.

He didn't take any of the pre draft process seriously. If he had #1 overall talent, maybe he'd get away with it but not when you're comp is Geno Smith with less arm strength.

He did not go to the Senior Bowl
He went to the Shrine game but refused to practice all week
He did no workouts at the combine

When players are asked what’s the biggest difference between the NFL and College, they tend to say it’s the speed of the game. One of the knocks on Sanders is that he holds on to the ball too long. That’s a problem if the pass rush just got faster and I’m thinking that’s the primary on-field reason teams passed on him.

How did Cam Ward fool the racist?

I don’t remember the author, but I remember when Rashan Salaam won the Heisman over Steve McNair, someone wrote an article claiming it was racist because McNair went to a HBCU.

I hope that when they are play us, all we hear is “another sack, TJ’s 13th of the year”

Note: Opening day schedule. Cleveland @ STEELERS

Salute the nation

Clevelands QB room is a hot mess I do not know what they were thinking. Gabriel did not seem like much value, no idea what they were thinking there. Sanders in the 5th is at least good value and worth a chance, but not after you took Gabriel already. Sanders refusing to work out is just idiotic. Even if you skip the combine, most guys at least throw at the pro-day. I get not wanting to play in the games, dues to injury risk, but then you need to show up at the combine or pro-day. I have no idea who was giving him advice, but they cost Sanders alot of $$ and respect.

Kiper had moved Sanders to his QB1 and felt he should go at least in the top 5, if not the top 3. He's been doing this a loooooong time. I don't know what his career percentages are as far as who he picks and doesn't, but he has a ton of respect for being the "original" draft prognosticator.
Yeah he said way back when that the Steelers would regret not drafting Chad Pennington, Kiper has missed a ton on QB's as well

He also applauded the KFP pick comping him to Cousins/Carr…lmao
But also prefaced that with the Steelers should have gone with the dual threat Malik Willis instead.

Like all these draft “gurus” if he hits 10-20% of his projections accurately he’s having a good day.

Very few of them actually know their 💩 that well…and Kiper is middle of the pack at best.

Chad Pennington…lmao, I remember that

****.....I have to agree with Troy.

I can see the talking heads missing the on-field evaluation by a round or two. There is no way that this fall had anything to do with holding the ball too long. Just takes one coach to think they can coach that out of him. If it wasn't his interview performances, the other thing I can think of is he scored a 0 on the Wonderlic or that other test and teams don't think they can coach anything out of him.
