This thread is for posting about WINNING. Share freely and often. Monumental legislation, key appointments, critical Executive Orders, influential foreign policy meetings, post what you want.

When Bammy was in office, every time the man breathed, swung a golf club, turned his IRS on Conservatives, or turned his DoJ against his opponents, he was lauded as Black Jesus. Man could do no wrong. Give Iran $1Billion? GENIUS!

Trump is criticized for everything, like Bush. Not telling the press corps where he's going to dinner with his family, paying a higher tax rate than, well...anyone, etc.

Not here.

Freed Egyptian American prisoner returns home following Trump intervention

An Egyptian American charity worker who was imprisoned in Cairo for three years and became the global face of Egypt’s brutal crackdown on civil society returned home to the United States late Thursday after the Trump administration quietly negotiated her release.

President Trump and his aides worked for several weeks with Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sissi to secure the freedom of Aya Hijazi, 30, a U.S. citizen, as well as her husband, Mohamed Hassanein, who is Egyptian, and four other humanitarian workers. Trump dispatched a U.S. government aircraft to Cairo to bring Hijazi and her family to Washington.

Could there be more WINNING come Sunday in France? Marine Le Pen's stock is surging in the wake of the 133rd radical Islamic Terrorist attack in France in the past 2 years.

Marine Le Pen gets poll boost after Paris attack as Donald Trump says her chances of victory have improved

Donald Trump has said the Paris terrorist attack would boost Marine Le Pen's presidential chances after a last-minute poll gave her a modest increase in support.

The US president said the shooting would "probably help" Ms Le Pen in Sunday's election, because she is "strongest on borders, and she's the strongest on what's been going on in France."

"Whoever is the toughest on radical Islamic terrorism, and whoever is the toughest at the borders, will do well in the election," he said.

Cancelling visits and meetings on Friday, candidates traded blows across the airwaves as it emerged that the Isil-backed gunman had been kept in custody just 24 hours in February despite attempts to procure weapons to murder police.

Xavier Jugelé, 37, a policeman who had been deployed in the 2015 Bataclan attack, was killed in the shooting.

Ms Le Pen, the far-Right candidate, blasted the mainstream “naive” Left and Right for failing to get tough on Islamism, calling for France to instantly reinstate border checks and expel foreigners who are on the watch lists of intelligence services.

The Muzzies are too stupid to lay low until after an election.

Still no cooperation though, other than the Gorsuch appointment, no legislation has made it through Congress and even that required an act of Congress.

Jeff Sessions on Mexican Border Wall: 'We're Going to Get It Paid for, One Way or the Other'

Appearing on this morning’s broadcast of ABC’s This Week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions was pressed by host George Stephanopoulos over who will be financially responsible for the proposed border wall along the US/Mexican border.

“Well, we’re going to get it paid for one way or the other,” the AG noted. Sessions went on to explain that there is excess money in tax credits going to Mexicans that the US can utilize to help finance the wall.

“There are a lot of ways we can find money to help pay for this,” Sessions added. This led an incredulous Stephanopoulos to ask, “How are you going to capture that money?” The attorney general responded that the government just needs to change regulations and enforce them properly, then $4 billion a year can be saved.

Wash Post poll hides: Trump still beats Clinton, 43%-40%

A new Washington Post poll that declares President Trump as "the least popular president in modern times," waits until the second to last paragraph to reveal another tidbit: He'd still beat Hillary Rodham Clinton if the election were held today and in the popular vote, not just Electoral College.

The poll found that Trump's polls continue to be upside down, with a 42 percent approval and 53 percent disapproval.

Also unchanged: His base still likes him.

It's not until the second to last paragraph of the long story that it's shown Clinton would still lose to the president, despite the high disapproval ratings and problems with his first 100 days detailed by the paper. It reads:

The new survey finds 46 percent saying they voted for Clinton and 43 percent for Trump, similar to her two-point national vote margin. Asked how they would vote if the election were held today, 43 say they would support Trump and 40 percent say Clinton.

WINNING in improved foreign relations!

SAUDI KING NAMES SON AS US ENVOY AS TIES BOOSTED WITH TRUMP

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) -- Saudi Arabia's King Salman issued a decree late Saturday naming one of his sons, an air force pilot who has taken part in coalition strikes against the Islamic State group, as the kingdom's new ambassador to the U.S.

The appointment of Prince Khaled bin Salman to Washington signals the kingdom's eagerness to strengthen bilateral ties under President Donald Trump. As the king's son, the prince has a direct line to the Saudi monarch.

Saudi Arabia is the world's third largest defense spender. Prince Khaled's appointment positions him as an influential broker in deals with U.S. manufacturers.

Saudi-U.S. relations had cooled under the Obama administration after Washington pursued a nuclear accord with Shiite-ruled Iran that the Sunni-ruled kingdom strongly opposed. Saudi Arabia and Iran are regional rivals, and back opposing sides in the wars in Syria and Yemen.

Taking on ISIS and WINNING

--------------------------------------------------------------

Trump Takes on Terrorism in His First Hundred Days

President Trump made defeating radical Islamic terrorists a key part of his presidential campaign. So far in his first 100 days, experts say he is making good on that promise.
“Right now, I give him an A honestly,” Retired Army Lt. Gen. Thomas Spoehr, director of the Center for National Defense at the Heritage Foundation, told Breitbart News.

Underscoring that progress was the U.S. military’s announcement Friday that it had killed a close associate of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) founder Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in a ground raid in Syria.

The associate, Abdurakhmon Uzbeki, had planned the deadly New Year’s Eve attack at a nightclub in Istanbul, which killed 39 civilians.

In Trump’s first three months in office, there’s been a significant uptick in the number of airstrikes targeting terrorists in the Middle East, North Africa, and Afghanistan.

U.S. military officials say Trump has not given the military any “new” authorities – in terms of long-standing rules and standards governing the use of force.

But what Trump has done is expand commanders’ targeting authorities in some locations, roll back restrictions put into place by the Obama administration, and encourage military commanders to exercise the authority they already have.

“We’re actually using the authorities that weren’t used before for political reasons,” a senior White House official told Breitbart News. “Theater commanders have been unshackled. Everyone’s been unshackled to do their job.”

WINNING with Isreal and against Iran!

Jewish Group Praises Trump Administration For ‘Strong Stand’ Against Iran

TEL AVIV – On the eve of Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day, a U.S. Jewish human rights NGO has praised the Trump administration for taking the Iranian threat against the Jews and the Jewish state seriously as opposed to the Obama administration, which based its policy on “wishful thinking.”

“The Jewish people have learned the brutal lesson from the Nazi Holocaust, that when a leader threatens you with genocide you take such threats seriously,” Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper — the dean and associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center — said in a statement. “The world, including many Jewish leaders, dismissed Hitler’s early threats against the Jewish people as bombast. The scope of death and destruction of WWII and the unspeakable horrors of the Shoah have taught us to never again dismiss such threats as empty rhetoric.”

“Unfortunately, the previous administration believed that it could moderate the mullah’s actions and words through negotiation and perks. We are grateful that the Trump administration is basing its policies on Iranian behavior, not wishful thinking,” they added.

At a State Department press conference on Wednesday, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said, “Iran’s provocative actions threaten the United States, the region, and the world. … The Trump administration is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our Iran policy. Once we have finalized our conclusions, we will meet the challenges Iran poses with clarity and conviction.”

And adios to the Gun-Control supporting Surgeon General!

-----------------------------------------------------------

President Trump Removes Obama’s Pro-Gun Control Surgeon General

On Friday, the Trump administration asked Obama’s pro-gun control Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, to resign.
Murthy was confirmed to the position of Surgeon General on December 15, 2014. The lead-up to the confirmation vote on Murthy focused on his “political activism,” particularly his positions on gun control.

Opposition from the NRA and other gun rights groups — together with Republican opposition — actually made it difficult to predict whether Murthy could be confirmed.

In fact, he was so pro-gun control that Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), a red state Democratic proponent of gun control, refused to vote for him.

Murthy has now been removed and replaced by Rear Adm. Sylvia Trent-Adams. She was previously the Deputy Surgeon General.

He's going to roll out his tax plan on Wednesday. Whatever it is, it's going to better than what we have now, for sure.

He's going to roll out his tax plan on Wednesday. Whatever it is, it's going to better than what we have now, for sure.

..and the Senate will laugh then shut it down completely. you watch, We got some serious problems in Congress and it seems like they can't even be embarrassed into doing what's right. The guy that said, once you start a giveaway program-you'll never get it removed, is absolutely correct. It's a travesty that these elected officials can't cut any significant fat out of their spending even when it's laid out for them.

Bernie Sanders Defends Ann Coulter

in a surprising turn of events, every millennial’s favorite old man, Sen. Bernie Sanders, has come out in defense of Ann Coulter, denouncing threats that forced the University of California, Berkeley, to try to postpone her appearance at the college.

“I don’t like this. I don’t like it,” Sanders told The Huffington Post in response to the security threats that forced the university to put off the conservative firebrand’s event.

“Obviously Ann Coulter’s outrageous―to my mind, off the wall. But you know, people have a right to give their two cents-worth, give a speech, without fear of violence and intimidation,” he added.

Sessions: DoJ Has Sent a Letter to 10 ‘Sanctuary Cities’ in Possible Violation of Immigration Law

Attorney General Jeff Sessions revealed he sent a letter to 10 cities functioning as so-called “sanctuary cities,” which may be in violation of federal law.

Sessions warned a failure to respond to those letters could result in those cities losing their federal funding.

“Last year, the Obama administration sent out notices that people had to comply with this cooperative language in the law that was passed several years ago,” Sessions explained. “And we sent out a letter today to 10 cities that the Inspector General’s office last year said were potentially in violation of the law involving deportation in sanctuary cities. We expect them to respond. If they don’t respond, they should not receive the grants because the grants were issued on condition of cooperation.”

Didn't she also say that she is going to withdraw from NATO and cozy up to the Russians? No thanks.

Trump himself has been highly critical of NATO. He's waffled a bit on his stance, but I believe he said they were "obsolete" and that the other countries needed to pay their fair share, intimating that if changes weren't made, he'd be for the US no longer being a part of it.

Regardless, the NATO without France is the equivalent of me losing one hair. No one will notice a difference.

In all seriousness, I'm less concerned about France and NATO than I am on France and terrorism and immigration. We need some European countries to step up and revers the social changes they've all implemented. These changes have allowed France to become a cesspool of terrorism and terrorist attacks. France is averaging a notable terrorist attack almost monthly for the past two years.

Illegal crossings down = WINNING

---------------------------------------

Border rancher: Illegal crossings down 90% since Trump became president

Arizona ranchers John Ladd and Fred Davis invited House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to see the southern border from their property, but she never responded.

But they responded this morning to Pelosi’s recent claim that the border wall is “immoral, expensive, unwise.”

Appearing on Fox & Friends on Tuesday, Ladd said border crossings by illegal aliens have decreased 90% to 95% since Donald Trump took office.

Perhaps more shockingly, Ladd has determined through Border Patrol data that some 500,000 illegal aliens have crossed his property in the 30 years he’s owned it.

Davis disputed Pelosi’s notion that a wall would divide border towns.

“All the communities that I know about, all the cities along the border, already have high fences,” he told co-host Steve Doocy, disputing Pelosi’s argument.

“Where the wall is necessary is in a lot of the outlying areas that still only have a four-wire barbed-wire fence between Mexico and us.”

Davis said the wall, which he said is one tool, is necessary to stop drug cartels and other criminals from entering the U.S.

“You’ve got to put boots on the ground to make it effective, and that’s been part of the problem on what places they have a wall now,” he said.

If the 2016 Election Were Held Again After Trump's First 100 Days, Here's What Would Happen...

BY JASON HOWERTON
If the 2016 presidential election were held again today, Hillary Clinton would receive even fewer votes and Donald Trump would still be the president, according to ABC News.

President Trump has the lowest approval rating of any president since 1945 as he nears his 100th day in office. However, the vast majority of Americans who voted for him in 2016 apparently have no regrets and would vote for him again today.

The same can’t be said for Hillary Clinton.

An astonishing 96 percent of people who voted for Trump in November said they would vote for him again if the election was held today, according to ABC’s polling. On the other hand, only 85 percent of Clinton voters said they would cast another vote for the Democratic candidate.

ABC News adds more context to the numbers:

Among Americans who say they voted in the 2016 election, 46 percent say they voted for Hillary Clinton and 43 percent for Trump, very close to the 2-point margin in the actual popular vote results. However, while Trump would retain almost all of his support if the election were held again today (96 percent), fewer of Clinton's supporters say they'd stick with her (85 percent), producing a 40-43 percent Clinton-Trump result in this hypothetical re-do among self-reported 2016 voters.

That's not because former Clinton supporters would now back Trump; only 2 percent of them say they'd do so, similar to the 1 percent of Trump voters who say they'd switch to Clinton. Instead, they're more apt to say they'd vote for a third-party candidate or wouldn't vote.

In a cautionary note to her party, Clinton's 6-point drop in a hypothetical mulligan election relates to views of whether the Democratic Party is in touch with peoples' concerns. Although the sample sizes are small, those who say the party is out of touch are less likely to say they'd support Clinton again, compared with those who see it as in touch.

That’s not to say that Trump doesn’t have his own polling problems. Just 42 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance so far. In comparison, Barack Obama saw a 69 percent approval rating during his first 100 days in office.

Further, 60 percent said they doubted Trump’s honesty and trustworthiness and 55 percent say his policy agenda is not driven by a clear set of principles.

But Americans gave Trump good grades for his initiative to keep jobs in the United States by pressuring companies — with 73 percent approving his tactics. In another important measure, 53 percent of Americans see Trump as a strong leader.

Bottom line: Even if Democrats got a second chance at the election today, they'd still lose to Trump.

This deserves it's own thread!
