The run Game looked Better

With Jaylen Warren. That guy looks like a Steeler RB. The fumble wasn't great, but this kid has earned more touches. The last play that was called back for a penalty was damn impressive, he just has "the Look" when he runs.
I doubt the coaches are smart enough to realize after a start that should be 0-3 the backup QB and RB should get a shot, they very well could be big upgrades.
 
Warren should be getting 25% to 33% of the snaps. Najee is still the man but Warren just hits it and hits it hard. The idiot announcer last night said he only weighs 190 lbs. I laughed my *** off. Dude is like 5'-8" and 210 to 215. He is like a bowling ball and he has some speed. He definitely needs to cure his fumble problems or Tomlin will put Snell back in there.
 
Warren should definitely get more rotation. The other takeaway is that the line, while not great, did enough for us to win. It's odd to think that our O line, what looked to be the biggest issue in the preseason, has at least been serviceable (again not great) but it doesn't matter because the coordinator and our scheme is a dumpster fire.

Yes --Myles Garrett was as quite as TJ Watt last night.
 
I hate to be one of those guys but a switch to Pickett will really help this line out. Tru Just doesn’t get the ball out! Everyone thinks the pats had a great line kept Brady clean all those years it was actually the opposite! Brady got the fukn ball out and the line looked great! Kenny has supreme accuracy he trusts himself hes way more Brady than Big Ben I think the line, the receivers, the run game, the defense will all look better with Kenny in the game. And really that’s what a franchise qb is suppose to do! GoSteelers!

I believe that is correct. That being said, Myles is a tier 1 player that does that same thing to better players than DM and often does it numerous times a game. Overall, the line, including Dan, are making progress. Just kinda feel like if we are going to trach them when, well, they are trash then we should also acknowledge a little improvement.

Side note, would have been more useful if Myles would have put Canada on his *** a couple times.

I think the problems with this team run much deeper than Trubisky,
The Rooneys, Head Coach Tomlin, Coordinators, scouting guys, they have all contributed to the downfall of this franchise, but after watching Mitch last night, he definitely is destroying the morale of this offense, especially the receivers. You could clearly see the frustration on TV from Johnson, Pickens and Claypool. Mitch just doesn't have it. bad reads, missing wide open guys, ugly throws. He is just bad. You can see the players don't believe in him either. Tomlin needs to get him out of there.
I would bet its a divided locker room already 3 games in. Thanks to Tomlin and Canada

Maybe so but Garret ended up with two tackles and no QB hits so I'd give the hammer to the LT.

All I know is he was not a factor as much as usual last night.

If it wasn’t for the announcers mention of him every other play...I wouldnt of know he was out there 90% of the time.

He’s way closer to Ridder than Brady or Big Ben at this point, jus sayin’

Dude hasn’t even thrown an NFL pass yet in a regular season game, maybe a tad early to compare him to a great like Big Ben or a pos like Brady

DJ ran a couple crap routes and let one perfectly placed throw go right off his hands last night, was also lazy getting back to Los in hurry up situation

If he was frustrated in anyone I bet it was at himself, not one of his better games
 
Also---Pickens tried for another one handed spectacular catch in the end zone.
If he squares up and tries to make the catch in a more conventional fashion...thats a TD.

Kid has a little bit of hot dog in him..
 
In the first half. I was at my kid's game out of town. They finished opponent in first quarter. I left when the backups went in the third. Picked up the Steelers at a sports bar. It was right after the guy got carted. They never got a run yard after that. Maybe 2. They were up one and down two points. Brutal.

I didn’t quite see that play the same way
Guess I’ll have to rewatch, but his momentum didn’t seem to just let him “Square up” conventionally from where the ball was placed from what I remember

I didn’t really take him as “hot dogging” anything there…definitely could refine his route running abilities but he is rookie in his 3rd game that just got his 10th target so there’s that too

This too. The whole morale with the receivers doesn't seem positive whenever they are on camera or on the mic. Pickens stated to a reporter "I'm literally open 90% of the time"
