Watson was awful in win over a bad Texans team.

What's crazy is that the best QB that ever lived managed to lead the Stains to only 3 points.
24 points courtesy of the special teams and their D.

Probably in need of a message. I wonder what the protocol is for that now? Supervised?

How long has he been out of football? He needs a tuck & rub and then he'll be good. Gonna take him awhile to get back in any decent form.

Message? Yeah I suppose he needs to get one of those too.

How about..."You suck"

As much as I hope the rest of Watson's career is a complete dumpster fire because he and the Clowns deserve it, I am not going to get all giddy after one game back. The guy hasn't played in over a year and a half and hasn't practiced much either. He may start showing something by the end of the year but if he still sucks come next year, then let's hope his career goes the way of Leveon Bell when he pulled his stunt with the Steelers and all but derailed what could have been a great (if not HOF) career.

Not going to get all giddy but that is significant the time he lost. Would not shock me if he doesn't totally regain form pre suspension.

I highly doubt Watson will ever get to equal his prime play again. Think about it, his physical and mental were in peak form. He had what he needed to complete his circle.

Now he has a mess around him, less than oportune physical shape honeing due to not being able to "roam" freely.

How excited can you get when you are in QB hell, that makes a big difference in mental.

Salute the nation

Next year is the only legit window that team has to make a run… they will push watson’s contract out by reworking it… but to fix it after that year means extending it, which might not be as cheap or desirable as the Browns envisioned signing him … the contract will eat away at their ability to build the team around him … its why older star QBs rarely win unless they are on a reduced contract.. and the kicker is that the browns don’t have that high end draft capital to get cheap players the next couple seasons

Yeah his success or lack there of with the Browns is far from written. I will say the only Q in the division that in my opinion will be a long term problem is Burrow.

Very few "professional elite athletes" ever take off as much time as Watson has and then return to their peak or prime form. Its possible that he does, its possible that he is just good and never great again. Only time will tell but the history is not on his side when it comes to this. Doubt he cares. He is paid either way.
