Dude had it going on. I really can't tell if she lied, if he just had a better lawyer, etc. Just sad. He would look good in B&G. (I had to say it first.)

Shawn Oakman's story

So what is story?

Basically, college football player accused of sexual assault two weeks before NFL draft in 2014. The woman who made the accusation admitted to inviting Oakman to meet her at bar, invited him back to her place, but says she wound up too drunk to consent. He is made a pariah, undrafted, takes three years for the trial to take place and a jury to acquit him, at which point his NFL dream is basically gone.

Dude has played in every professional league imaginable other than the NFL. Has had two good years for Toronto in the CFL.

It’s crap like that that women need to be held more accountable and face punishment if they lie to ruin someone’s life

Another false accusation once the accuser sobered up.

I’m glad he cleared his name, the article even said the Science forensics didn’t add up to what she was accusing.

NOW I’m smart enough to know no one here knows what happened, but he took accountability on having sex with her and she deleted text(s).

He was found NOT GUILTY be his peers, so the trial is over and I hope like hell he can get on with his life.

WHAT DOES SHE LOSE IN ALL THIS……… That is what baffles me, the accusation, true or false absolutely ruins the guy where as the woman, found to be a liar, ……. Crickets.

I doubt it will happen but he may have a liable suit in the waiting, doubt she has money though .

PS

Thanks for posting Djfan, I barely remember this happening and appreciate the follow up details.

I do think that women, who make these false accusations, should do time equal to what the accused would have done if convicted. The biggest problem is that in most cases it is a he said, she said situation. I don't know how you fix this mess, but, EVERY false accusation should result in SUBSTANTIAL jail time for the accuser.
