Blamed 4th and one call on Friermuth and Moore being out. Friermuth routinely gets dummied in run. In fact he pulled on a search and got blasted 4 yards back. Moore's only value is pass pro. Clueless absolutely clueless.

The excuse might - MIGHT - have some weight if both got hurt during the play. Saying a play did not work due to the absence of two players you KNOW are not available for the play means YOU CALLED THE WRONG ******* PLAY.

Thank you.

This is all the proof you need to see that Mike Tomlin is part of the problem! I'm all aboard the FIRE TOMLIN Train after his comments or lack of action today!

As a fan I can't even bring myself to watch the Matt Canada **** Show on Offense much longer! I can't believe he still has a job!

Had a couple really big schooners of beer after a win today..... so I apologize if I don't get this fully. Tomlin said we could not run on 4th and one because Moore and Muth were out. I'm saying neither is a run asset. Wtf is he talking about. The guys in there Washington and Jones are run assets. And to be clear they probably were not going to get that yard and a bit on run. Issues were inside not outside. The play was to kick FG and hope for defense. BUT......if that is his knowledge of that football situation. That's a bit scary.

especially when one of them is being called out for giving **** effort at blocking.

I don't think signs would be effective.
But, imagine a ton of fans wearing bags on their heads a la Saints fans back in the day.
Television cameras and announcers would amplify that and it would be the talk of the league.

Thought of the same, paper bag heads , just to show them fans are feeling like we are becoming the factory of sadness under the current regime

Does this make you wonder if that was HIS call and not Canada?

They wasted a timeout to talk it over so both were involved. The myriad of problems from this scenario:
  • They didn't think ahead to "What if we are a yard short?" on the 3rd down play.
  • When they are 4th and 1, they then have to blow the timeout and talk about the best play they have - the one they practiced all week - for just this scenario.
  • Under center, with Harris in the backfield, strongly suggesting run, and then go play-action with short pass over middle of field abandoned by LB'ers attacking run to convert if intent on passing? Naah.
  • Under center, with Harris in the backfield, double TE, put Washington in motion, have him stop behind Kenny, QB sneak with Harris and Washington powering the pile forward? Naah.
  • Coming out of the timeout, they believed having Kenny 5 yards from the LOS in shotgun was a good idea.
  • They then believed having him sit back there while three slow-developing, long pass patterns are run by the WR's.
  • Where the pass patterns don't actually put the defense at risk of giving up a TD since all three involve the receivers running 20 yards to a spot 5-7 yards from the LOS and turning around. You know, like we learned in Pee-Wee football.
That is what went on.

Just spewing his usual nonsense except a lot of people and sports media aren’t buying it anymore.

  • jet sweep with Spencer Anderson?
  • halfback option pass back to Kenny?
  • statue of liberty play with a toss to CA3 5 yards behind the LOS?
  • quick kneel down in Victory formation?

those would have been more successful
