Just got done lurking for ***** and grins...and to level set myself once again on how fortunate we are as Steeler fans..

I just thought this thread title was creative and very funny in the only way a long suffering Browns fan can do...

Johnny Cacca!

LOL....that is all...please continue your bitching and moaning about Tomlin, Colbert, Rooney's, etc, etc..

For the first time in a couple of years, I found myself chuckling when this commercial came on yesterday.

Making the play offs makes the whole season feel better. You almost feel sorry for Stains fans because they hardly ever get to experience the feeling.

Agreed....I lived in Ohio for 20 years and still miss listening to Sports talks shows, especially after another Browns loss, Steeler win, and bad season for those poor people...

You have to experience it personally to fully understand Cleveland sport fans pain and aguish, year after year...

I'm damn glad the Browns are in the Steelers division. We need a punching bag with the Ravens and Bengals games every year. Just look at 2011 when they traded the #6 pick to the Falcons for their #21 in 2011 and first round pick in 2012. The Browns could have taken J.J. Watt with that pick and instead end up with Phil Taylor and Brandon Weeden.

They brought it on themselves. They should have let Hoyer play it out. Then if they let him walk they would have Johnny Football in the back pocket, to gain some interest. Now they are truly ******. Hoyer is leaving whether they like it or not, and you can't possibly feel excited about Manzeil at this point.

My boss is a Browns fan, at the beginning of the year he was super excited. He was talking about how it had been a long time since the Browns had anyone decent at QB, and that now they had TWO good QB's. His tone has changed throughout the year, and turned into the typical "there's always next year" talk. I feel bad for him, sort of lol.

I'm torn. I would much rather see a fully competitive division - where all 4 teams challenge each other for the division title. This season was a really good one for all 4 where late into the season they were all on equal footing and playing above-.500 football. I just think that the competitiveness of the division prepares a team better for post season success - I just hope the Steelers come out on top this weekend, and throughout these upcoming playoffs.

The Browns are improving. And if they keep Hoyer, they'll have a chance of making the playoffs.

Solid D, Great O line, Good receivers. They just need a RB and TE and they'll be a threat.

Actually, I think they have good, young backs. Hoyer isn't a legit NFL QB - look at his stats - he is terrible. Need another WR at least. OL isn't great. They will be getting lots of hurt DL back.

Funny thing is that Simmons on Grantland wrote an article about "The Day God Started Hating Cleveland" or something along those lines. What stuck out about it was a reminder that, their new regime made a bunch of questionable decisions on draft day. They traded twice and got Gilbert, Manziel and Buffalo's 1st next year. If they had only traded once, they could have had Watkins, Bridgewater and Buffalo's 1st next year. Let that sink in.
My dad (A Clown's fan) was over yesterday and I brought that up ... he damn near choked on his moonshine. lol

Flacco's game was horrible.

His DQR rating was 11.2

I talked earlier about how Roethlisberger generated 20 points on 6 meaningful drives. Baltimore generated 13 points on FIFTEEN meaningful drives.

Flacco's line (using stats I use for the rating):

Dropbacks - 53
Yards - 200
Turnovers - 3
Possessions - 15
Points - 13
Completion % - 42%
20+ yard Plays - 2
Sacked - 2

Total DQR Rating = 11.2

I said all along they should have traded either Manziel or Hoyer when their stock was at it's highest point... If it were me, I would have unloaded Johnny Numbnuts before he ever played a down to some quarterback desparate team... You know somebody out there would have given up way too much for him when many of the "experts" on ESPN and elsewhere were still high on him. Now his bubble has burst and his perceived value has plummeted. But it's the Browns...what do you expect? In just a couple months they went from people believing they had two potentially good starting QB's on their roster to none. Now they're probably gonna have to draft yet another QB with their first round pick, making it very hard for them to improve the overall talent on the roster because they keep wasting their first round pick drafting the same position... quarterback!!

Funny, I was hoping the Steelers would pick up Shaw and cut Jones. I think he will be better than Manziel. Yes, I'm being serious.

Sooooo maybe the Browns will be in the mix for a Jay Cutler trade?

Why not? Cutler has his faults, but he's better than what they have, and they could afford to pay him. The Bears would give him away for a couple of used popsicle sticks, so it won't cost them anything but his salary. They'd only be stuck with him for a few years, while they groom either Manziel, or another young qb. They're not going to win a championship with, or without him, but he might allow them to squeeze out a playoff spot, which would be great for their long suffering fanbase.

Conner Shaw?

they're gonna need a taller mannequin

They were in the hunt until the front office made the coach play Johnny, this is what they get another year of putting their jerseys away before Christmas.
