Right before the beginning of the Week 15 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Tennessee Titans, the visiting Titans may have showed the Steelers a level of disrespect. Before the action kicked off at 1 PM, the Titans gathered on the field to congregate on the Steelers logo. A lot of times when teams do this, they are met with other players coming over to protect their logo and sometimes it ends up in the two teams getting into shoving and shouting matches. However in this case, there was no confrontation by the Steelers, as they definitely weren’t on the field during this time yet.
Among the players who were on the logo was a former Steeler who was instrumental to the team last year in Bud Dupree who was seen dancing and jumping on the logo. Dupree left the team in free agency and went to the AFC North and seems to be enjoying the weather in Tennessee because he sure does not seem to like it here in Pittsburgh.
Finally, the Titans have done this in the recent past. Last season, the team gathered on the Baltimore Ravens‘ logo last season and this time, the Ravens team was on the field to retaliate. This was not just players who got into the scuffle either, Tennessee’s head Coach Mike Vrabel got into it with Raven’s coach John Harbaugh however, there was a lot less physically from these two former athletes.
Let me know whether you think this is a good strategy down in the comments!
