Sad to have to lower your expectations so much. TJ knows the reality of his situation.

We have had a lot of way upper level talent that has been wasted.

I truly hope TJ gets more than 1 playoff win.

I'd like them to win 4 playoff games. If you're the No.1 seed, that's 3 playoff games. Which includes the superbowl.

It's been a long time since they got past one and blown-out done.

Agreed

Don't blame Tomlin. Blame Rooney.

I’m tired of the blame game. No one takes accountability anyway. I just want results, not woke *** word salads but results.
Get to and win a ******* playoff game for starters.
They have the makings of improvement at OC, T, ILBer, S, and more importantly QB.

Every deficiency has been addressed to some degree. I think the team has a good chance to finally be able to win some playoff games.

If that doesn’t take place I believe bigger changes should be made.

Unless proven otherwise, the main change needed has just gotten a 3 yr extension.

I’m excited about this upcoming season due to the changes made to date.

I think the BIGGEST change made has been the OC.

TJ Watt is the historical bellwether for the squishy, new normal of the never had a losing season era. With a franchise built on defense since the early 1970s, he's the only Top 10 Ring of Honor type defender WITHOUT a single playoff win. It's aberrant. We think of the moribund 1980s, but young Rod Woodson and Greg Lloyd had playoff wins before departing the decade. TJ's losses have not been close -- despite being coached by a "defensive-minded" HC whose proponents insist is a Top 2-3 HC in the league.

It's glaring in the context of team history and present malaise.

Say what you will about Tomlin, but I defy anyone to find a cooler head coach currently in the NFL.

Did I miss where they replaced Tomlin?

They really don’t have any better team than in years past, and Tomlin couldn’t get a playoff win out of them. Just what makes you think this unproven team will be any different?

I would rather have the geeky doufus that actually has X’s & O’s skills, and a willingness to taylor his schemes to fit his players strengths.

All about our philosophy and scheme.....All the talent doesn't mean **** if we do the same thing this year as we have done in the past years.

Naw, It's all about the drip.

A new OC that hopefully isn’t micro managed. That has a possibility of being a significant impact. An improved Oline ( potentially) overall upgraded LBers, a nice cornerback pairing. Better QB options including one that has been there done that. For me there is a chance this year is different in a good way. We shall see.

Maybe Collinsworth steals that one this year?

For the last five or six years he has been gushing "the Pittsburgh Steelers under Mike Tomlin are hard to kill in these one score games!" "Never had a losing season" is of course hackneyed beyond repair, so the media need some new slogans for him this year!
