Hines Ward cried after the loss to the patsies Ben's first season.....

if that tough SOB can cry after a loss, anyone can.....

Ward was an emotional player, not the head coach. Any coach who has made the playoffs also has lost a playoff game. Tomlin is no different. Does Tom Hanks have to say it?

Use the loss to get better and work harder.

how many loss with their franchise QB having to take a shot in the shoulder so he could stand the pain to play...hit the field with a 3rd and 4th string Rb and his top WR out and still had a shot to win in the final minutes?

No problem with it. As much as many on here want Tomlin fired, he should be a nominee for coach of the year this year. No team had more injuries than we did and got anywhere near as far as we did. If AB is not purposely taken out by Buttfuck, we probably win this game. The game could have gone either way. It was a tough loss at the end of a long season with so much promise.

This team is right on track for next season provided they can keep some key players on the roster who are UFA & RFA.

Sure up that secondary and get a Interior DL then they can sub in McClendon for Tuitt & Heyward (IMO Heyward wore down as the season went on)

This team will be right back in the playoffs next season and if healthy we can go on a run!

That wasn't crying. For Tomlin, that was a biological discharge of a saline solution necessary to lubricate and moisten his visual organs. He accepts and acknowledges that fact and assures us that it will aid him for more long nights in the lab.

I believe this year will be remembered as the season where the Steelers laid the foundation for trophy 7. Have matured grown closer, have talent, and yes Tomlin has improved. Not perfect.... but who is. Truly think the sky is the limit for this team.

quite obviously Ward was not an alpha male in Coach's definition.

trophy for the most absurd post today goes to coach. maybe tomorrow, too.

The one thing about MT you can't argue about is his passion. His player/personnel decisions (Colbert's role, but he does have some say), in game decisions, and his post game bloviation are all up for much scrutiny. However, somehow he does **** like this year that shows he's a winner and just might be 2-3 players away from being a champion again.

Yeah I'll always let my criticisms of MT known but one thing we'll never take away is his desire to win.. and I think this season should earn him some good will with us fans. No other team could have done what we did with the injuries we had and the schedule we played. Nobody. Hell the Cowboys couldn't win a game without Romo

I almost started a new Tomlin thread but figured we had enough people that would do that soon enough so I'll post it here.

Mike Tomlin thank you for the job you did with this team this year. I haven't been someone that's been real vocal on Tomlin but I have stated that I really didn't care for his style , and that I thought that the only reason he was here was because of the Rooney rule. This year I really tried to pay attention to how other coaches were throughout the season, and not one of them were even close to perfect, the bone headed play calls the time management and just overall stupid decisions run wild among NFL head coaches.

MT you did a very good job with the cards you were dealt this year. You showed me the control you had over this team in the Cincy game, you showed me that you can make half time adjustments in the first Denver game, and you showed me a team that buys into what you are saying, and just won't quit on you all ******* year. You Mr Tomlin should be in the conversation for coach coach of the year. Even in the loss last night I don't think I have ever been any prouder of this team, players and coaches alike. thank you for a great year.

Ben played great. One of his best games. His arm was fine with the shot. Bryant also had a very good game. Toussaint's fumble hurt.

Dumbest thread this year.... hands down... id rather see another Bengal troll thread... this is just boring petty piling on to a non issue.

I can't really fault Tomlin's coaching last night. The clock management late was a bit bad, but in the end it just didn't matter. And truthfully, let's remember that Haley is at just as much fault there as anyone. I'm not going to blow up Toussaint. He's a 4th string kid who was running his heart out for the team and the run where he fumbled he'd JUST put us in FG position to basically be able to run clock and ice the game if we were smart about it.

We really had no chance in that game and we damn near came away with it anyway. There's a reason those type of stories don't happen very often. (They don't happen very often.)

Sue him for caring. He has a lot invested in this team, as the players do, if not more. My hat off to him for wearing his emotions on his sleeve. He's not the robot that many make him out to be.
