This type of thinking and attitude might take us places....

We feel like we are pretty good on offense, and that's not taking anything away from them,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. “The nameless, gray faces we play are irrelevant if we're in our game, and we're going to do things that are in our wheelhouse, and (passing is) in our wheelhouse, regardless if that's their wheelhouse.”

And this...

“We always take the approach that we are going to do what we can and not do things according to the other team,” Roethlisberger said. “The reason why we probably threw the ball more than usual is because of the defense they gave us. They gave us a personnel group that ... we had to throw it.”

It was the cowher philosophy for years... I don't really agree with it all the time, but when you are that much better, sure...I guess...

Yeah, why try and make a gameplan targeting your opponent's weaknesses? That's way too complicated.

When you have an offense that can torch the leagues #1 defense (and statistically one of the top defenses in recent years) as badly as we did on Sunday, you can dictate a game in many ways. It's a luxury.

They still game plan, but it's nice to know that they don't necessarily have to.

Yeah, if they can remember that if they get the chance at the Pats again and not get all cute with the stupid trick plays then go for it. The key with them is to not allow Bill to get in your head and play your game....oh, and smash their WRs at every opportunity instead of playing 5-10 yard cushions.

Sure, that offense is a luxury. But the other team shouldn't be looked at as "nameless gray faces," in my opinion. They're all human beings with individual strengths and weaknesses, not alien forms.

They have rights and we are de-humanizing them? Is this some liberal platform you're injecting into the football forum?

I would say one thing, if they go up against the cheaters again, turn the ******* headsets off.

Go no-huddle the entire game and give the cheaters the finger from the opposite sideline the entire ******* game. And every time a runner gets near the opposing sideline, try to hit Bill.

Is that a pun on the headset issues at Gillette?

This is going to be interesting...

Yep, we would line up and dare the opponents to stop the run and now we dare them to stop the pass. If they can't stop it, keep going. Teams have killed the Steelers with this approach for years and now we are doing it to them.

Nothing illegal about them. Well, most of the time, anyway.
