The Saints are in Dire need for a guard and we have a surplus with starting experience… lots of smoke starting to circulate around Dotson or Green going there… but it’s early in camp.. we will see…

The guard trade market probably heats up once Dalton Risner signs… he has had a ton of interest but has yet to elect to sign anywhere

Dotson would make sense. Louisiana kid. If we can pick up a 6th I’d be happy. If we can unload Green for anything Khan would immediately be the best GM in the league lol

I would really like to know what Big Dot did to get in the dog house.

More than likely it was underperformance due to lack of being in shape. It started from when he came back from the off season, last year. I’m guessing the team gave him an off-season plan and he agreed, but didn’t follow it.

Just my 2 cents and charming persona.

Green would be a 6th or a 7th.

Dotson would be a 4rth or 5th.. Over-priced and will NOT move him if asking for a 3rd. I’d try for the third, but also know I’d take a 4th.

I dunno on Dotson. That room is pretty crowded and by reports Herbig is picking up steam. Now with a loss of a corner I wouldn't mind to see a swap for Big Dot. We shall see... My preference is an inside corner...

For me the big questions are how is Spencer Anderson looking in camp? I haven't heard anything about him. That could be good or bad. He was a position flexible interior lineman that I personally believe they are planning on stashing on the PS in 2023 to give competition to the interior line next year. But if he is playing above par then maybe we scratch that idea and he can take over for Green. Le'Raven Clark has experience at both tackles and guard so he is pretty position flexible. Though, he is actually best at LT. William Dunkle is another guy I haven't heard about. He was a run blocking stud in college. He was a little susceptible to speed in the pass blocking though. But what type of camp is he having? I probably wouldn't trade anyone until roster cuts start happening. I would hate to trade Dotson just to have a different interior lineman go down and then have a position of strength turn to weakness. But the fact is that if Dotson doesn't make the 53 man there's not chance he ends up on our PS with his starting experience. So if that was the case I would try to move him rather than cut him.

here's the deal:

Green and Dropsie Johnson for Chris Olave and Alontae Taylor.
done deal.

Unless you factor in that Green and Dotson has been under the tutelage of MIKE TOMLIN. I would ask for a 1st for Green and a 1st and 3rd for Dotson.

MIKE ******* TOMLIN

No one is trading for Green. He is a failure. Dotson would have a market. I doubt it would exceed his value as a backup.

from what I've read Le'Raven has been LeBeaten like a rented mule by Herbig. Nothing good can come from anything raven

We are only keeping at most 9 olinemen. Neither Dotson nor Green are starting. Herbig is absolutely getting one spot and the seventh round pick is making a push. They seem to like his versatility…

There are still a couple guards in ufa worth a damn, so nothing will be immediate, but there are at least seven teams looking for viable backups and one that probably needs a starter.

I know people like to hate on Green, but he is just a third year guy, and there probably will be teams that liked him in the draft that may still be interested…
Dotson has a lot of starting experience. He isn’t bad.

The thing is Kahn wont trade guys below what he feels it would cost to replace them if injuries happen… you figure barring injury, one of the two aforementioned players not make the team. Herbig will absolutely be the top guard backup… the question is is he also the top backup at Center… if so we maybe keep 8 and try to stash the rookie on the PS, or we keep 9 and decide whether we want the other backup to be a better C or a better pure G… if he isn’t then we absolutely will keep a backup C …

In either case, if someone comes asking about a Guard closer to the cutdown, you absolutely try to move someone… neither has much value, but both could have some value to the right team

Make that happen, without the use of coooch's trade experience and add a Silver Dollar coin piece and you will get a FREE ride in the LUXURY S10.

Hopefully, that is more because Herbig has been crushing it than Clark has been sucking it. Steelers usually keep 4 tackles and the two backups should be position flexible. Moore, imo, would make an ideal guard but has not played there from all accounts. Clark has pretty much played everything but center in his career. So unless Dylan Cook is showing something I highly doubt Clark doesn't make the 53 man. Seumalo, Cole, Daniels and big Nate all have a spot. That leaves only one spot unless we keep 10 linemen. I don't think we will. So that leaves Green and Dotson. Green can play center or guard... kinda. So unless big Nate has been taking reps at center I feel Dotson might be odd man out.

Indeed, Big Nate has taken some Center snaps
