Four-year-old Pramedya collapsed in the middle of the fourth race with a broken left front leg and was euthanized on the track. It was the fifth start of the filly’s career. The horse’s jockey, Daniel Centeno, broke his right collarbone in the fall and was taken to a local hospital.

Homeboykris, a 9-year-old horse, died shortly after winning the first race of the day.

The Maryland-bred horse came from behind to win the race as a 9-1 underdog. It collapsed on the way back to the barn after exiting the winner’s circle.

Damn, poor horseys - and with all the chemicals they pump into racers, you can't even make a burger from them

Damn! Sad.

That would make for a tasty burger with all those chemicals though. Imagine the aftertaste or even the artificial flavoring at that

Glad I'm not a horse, just hung like one

I think it's bullshit they euthanized the horse but not the jockey.

In other related news, American Pharoh, the recently triple crown winner has been used as a stud 210 times in 100 days.

The Fee? $200,000.00 for a successful birth. They should rename this horse, Dirk Diggler.

It was a ******, wet track, and if it wasn't Preakness Stakes day, the races might have been bumped.
