A United States 'spy plane' has made an emergency landing in eastern Russia, it has emerged today.
The surveillance Boeing OC-135B aircraft was flying a mission over Siberia as allowed under the Treaty on Open Skies when it reported a problem with its landing gear.
The unarmed plane made an emergency landing at Khabarovsk airport, but a military source in Russia has questioned whether the technical glitch was genuine.

I wonder how much we'll have to give them to get the airplane back..

ROFL..just as the DNC is claiming Putin hacked their emails

Obama trades some secrets to keep them from releasing Hillary's e-mails!

1660 miles for an emergency landing?

Open Skies mission ... no big deal. We fly over there, they fly over here ... happens all the time. Just happened to have an emergency and had to land.

I found a better source

US Surveillance Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Siberia

"A foreign aircraft made a forced landing in Khabarovsk. All emergency ground services have arrived on site. The flight landed safely at 3 P.M. local time," airport officials said.

The aircraft took off from Ulan-Ude, a city to the east of Lake Baikal, and was heading to the Russian city of Yakutsk. However, one of the plane’s landing gears had apparently malfunctioned and failed to retract after takeoff, so the crew decided to make a forced landing in Khabarovsk, RIA Novosti

Yeah, it's the whole US spy plane landing in Russian territory that is the big deal. We used to tell our pilots to crash the plane to try and destroy it as much as possible and crush a cyanide pill between their teeth in this situation. But this is no big deal.

That ******* plane is getting pulled apart, inspected, everything. Any secrets on board are done. The news reports coming out of this will be interesting.

How much further would it have been to land in Japan?
Something seems odd to fly 1,600 miles and still go down in Ruskie land.

get

media's not been told to report on this.

they'll mail us a bolt from the faulty landing gear and ask for one to be returned. then they'll replace it and send back the hull of the plane.

It could still carry a lot of suitcases full of hush money to keep Hillary's emails secret

Spy equipment in military aircraft has a zeroize button. Pushing that button renders the equipment and anything that could be learned from it to be completely useless.
