USFL

I plan to be watching. Had a water heater emergency today, and tomorrow is Easter, so it may be next week.

Anyone watching?

already sick of the drone shots on kick offs and punts
Naw. The nfl and college football is enough.
Why leagues keep trying to keep up with the nfl is beyond me.

Even when the nfl product is looked down upon it’s still a lot better than the spring trash that attempts to resurge after multiple failed attempts.

I might peak into the Pittsburgh Maulers tonight. See how Kirby's HC debut goes.

It's been about 40 years, hasn't it? Didn't they fold in 1984? BTW, do they still have the "farm" college system where they have first pick of certain schools? I think the Philadelphia Stars had their pick of Penn State players.

I didn't see it yet, but I want to. I like to watch football. So it's slotted between college and nfl levels. You can be certain there is some NFL money in there. Fox owns 20% ( of the league) so they will certainly show the games. I watched the pregame nonsense and there were many BIG advertisers.

They're playing Tampa. I hope this is the only year all games are in Alabamer. Teams should play in their home cities just like other sports.

I' in this boat of waiting for YouTube to have it. I don't have regular TV but do stream.

Also Water Heaters are not a problem, happen to be my expertise..................... (Plubing & HVAC contractor)

Salute the nation

I watched some of it on NBC but the camera work was like crap. Maybe I'll watch a little bit today of the Pittsburgh game.

Had one of those about a month ago. It took about $2150 to get over it.
That's not a thing for teacher / DJ. Just not enough money there. I do most things myself (sometimes over time!), and even trade labor with others. It works. I got away with less than $300 this time.

I'm going to be in the minority here. But, if you take it for what it is, it wasn't bad. Anyone tuning in expecting NFL level play or production is going to be severely disappointed. But, if you ever watched any World League football, it's on that level. My only complaint last night was the broadcasters. Those guys can make or break the way a game "feels" and they dropped the ball. They were boring.
Anyway, I don't know how much of the USFL I'll actually watch. However, I figure I'll catch a game or two here and there.

My plan was to watch last night and then I simply forgot. Watched to episodes of outer range. Remembered my plan to watch USFL around mid night

Because networks are that ****** and desperate
Yep they want to try to make it work get as many viewers as possible. Thing is people already have allocated time to their favorite teams. It will be hard to gather enough fans to keep it afloat let alone prosper.

If you can get past a few rule quirks the CFL has been, is and always will be the second best professional football league in the world.

It was boring. There is only one football league in the US and thats the nfl….and college football and the cfl. The rest of these leagues are a waste of money imo. They develop a very small following but from a business standpoint it’s just best to let the offseason be the offseason.

You cannot create tradition. The only thing that would possibly interest me us seeing say a league where players on the fringe of making rosters played together. So maybe one team with say AFC North players on it. Watching a guy and seeing if he could help the Steelers in the fall. A developmental league I guess.

but you said you didn't watch it??

In case any of you were wondering what happened to De'Andre Johnson (was on the EMCC team on Last Chance U) He is one of the qbs on the NJ Generals. They ran the ball something like 24 straight times with him in the game.

The play was so so, the announcers were **** and talking to players during the game was idiotic. the drone shots on kicks ws terrible, the angle might be good if the quality of the cameras was better though

There are less people at this Gambler Panthers game then my kids regular Friday High School game. How thebfuck is this going to work. Haha. This has to be tax write off **** for wealthy men.
