Very good player.....better man.

Very classy indeed. This is a true Steeler right here. It's interesting that it was Moats that ended Favre's start streak, I didn't know that lol. But I have a feeling if Moats gets another sack or 2 this year He'll be starting for us next year. Good to have players you don't have to worry about making news for the wrong things.

When we signed him, I read several articles like these. He's a great man with a huge heart and so glad he is getting it done on the field. Hope he sticks around here for awhile.

That was an excellent article about a guy who sounds like he is an excellent human being.

Maybe he has a few more great plays in him and he can be our excellent OLB!

True Steelers? How about a true human being. Maybe.

For him to be having a tough time because of something unfortunate like that? I don't really care what people think. I'm going to set the example for my kids and let them know color doesn't matter. It's all about doing the right thing.”

That to me says the most. I will show you a man that wants to judge something based on the merits of the situation and not through the colored glasses of racism. If more people on both sides of the issue adopted this position there would be no racism at all. I have never cared about someones color. I know that no ethnic group has a monopoly on *** holes they all seem blessed with their share. Sad thing is we get to here more about *** holes than good people or people doing good things like the act of kindness Arthur Moats just demonstrated. He may have negative comments expressed against him for his act as well and to do so publicly in the face of that shows more of his character. Great job Arthur.

Yes, this country needs wealthy successful black men interested in community economic development.

Not picking on you Trog.

But why is gender and color even in this post? Is this statement just as valid? Yes, this country needs wealthy successful people interested in community economic development. My point is why can't the people of our country look up to anyone as a role model regardless of their demographics? When is the last time you have heard of an individual being inspired by someone of a different race or gender and thinking it would be good to be like them. I think the most important thing Mr. Moats has done is he demonstrated color blindness completely recognizing something on its own merits and regardless of the race issues so many folks try to promote. That is the mark of true leadership and value to society.

I also wanted to add I do agree with what I thought was the nature of your post, that black men becoming models of success and performing as a positive role model are important, to getting rid of the negative stereo type that is often bandied about.
