What are your thoughts on total voter transparency at your polling station? When I submit my ballot to the machine, all I see is a green light showing that it was accepted, It seems as if I put the ballot into a paper shredder. I want more. I want a time stamped document showing

1) my voter submission number,
2) the voting machine ID
3) who or what I voted for.
4) the totals that that machine has tallied
5) the current tallies for that voting precinct
6) the current tallies for the state.
7) a validation will be given to the voter that no other person has voted under that ID #

I also want voter ID which will assure that nobody other than me will vote under my SSN/VA Drivers Lic #, and no non-Virginians will be allowed to vote in our state/Federal elections and there is a cross reference with any out of state/county residents, (mainly students) because I know first hand where several college students have voted in local, state, and federal elections both in VA as well as from wherever they call home.

Upon submission, if there is a match on a duplicate SSN/Drivers Lic #, the ballot will not be approved until investigated. If a ballot had submitted falsely, it will immediately be thrown out upon proper verification of ID.

Whoever submits a ballot on false pretense will be tracked down and prosecuted.

I believe this needs to be an amendment to our state constitution otherwise it will be changed from year to year. If this doesn't happen I am not confident in our system and I will not register to vote.

We have the technology to do it and I want to propose it to our county registrar, my state representative, my congressmen, our esteemed governor and our President. What say you? What am I overlooking? What would you suggest to make the process more transparent without the state knowing who you actually voted for.

I can program a machine to spit out everything that you mentioned, but send something completely different into the central Data Base. What we need is a way to directly query the central DB, but even then, someone can front end the DB and hide the actual DB from review.

Electronic voting is only safe if you have impeccable people with unquestionable integrity operating the whole thing. That's from start to end. If it connects to anything on the web it can still be hacked.

The mail in ballots by the millions should have never happened. That whole process and tabulation procedures are a joke.

It doesn’t matter who votes, only who counts the votes.

What sort of machines and system give the best chance for a fair election? At least one that you can reliably audit?

I grew up with the old lever voting machines that punched out the ballot. Those ballots were then fed into a counter but then that data had to be tallied somewhere. Like Steelr4evr said you'd better have honest people running the show.

I'm at a loss. Sort of feel like heading out into the Alaska wilderness and becoming a hermit. Maybe head to the islands somewhere. Less grizzlies but more gun runners and drug dealers who can make you just as dead.

The issue is numerous court cases that went in front of activist leftist judges that gutted poll watchers and the count monitor process because “Muh voter suppression”.
