Watson re-tears his achillies...

I mean, why in the **** would any QB play for that cursed franchise?

Before Watson went to the Browns, he was a top 5 type qb... everyone is enamored woth the year Lamar just had, lamar is in his 7th season... Watsons 4 th he had more combined passing and rushing yardage than Jackson did this year... Watson threw for more than 4,000 yards twice in his first 4 seasons...

People blame Watson suddenly sucking on his 2.5 years off or lack of focus after signing that big contract, but we know the truth, playing for the brownies sucked any potential for good QB play right out of him...

He is easily both the worse trade and the worse contract in NFL history..

Looking at their cap situation, its hilarious..
they traded and cut guys and restructured guys this year to free up money for 2025 because they were so far over the cap next year, it was absurd

They shaved about 20 million off of their 25 salary with those moves... then they rolled over 42 million from this year... and they are still 24 million dollars over..
And they dont have a lot of big salary contracts to move around... so they almost certainly are going to have to extend Watsons contract with more voidable years... that thing will be an albatross for a while yet

So with virtually no cap space, what do they do? Tap the Draft again with a very bleh qb crop? Gamble on a retread like Daniel Jones, assuming they can even free up enough money for that?

Their only real option is a mid to late round QB that will be cheap and on a rookie contract. They could get lucky …….. oh, who are we kidding.

The Browns are controlled by idiots. Who gives a 250 million dollar contract fully guaranteed to any football player in the NFL where you’re one injury away from career ending.
That contract was ******* stupid and even the other owners thought as much.
The Browns, the Jets, the Panthers, just horrible franchises that have bad owners and that’s where it starts.

Watson missed 2021 before demanding a trade... he had been accused of dozens of sexual misconducts and was facing a hefty suspension... The Browns knew he was gonna be virtually two years away from playing football when he took the field and that there was a huge PR hit coming with him... and that they had a short window with a playoff team that was about to get expensive...
knowing that, they dealt
3 firsts, a 3rd, and 2 4ths to the texans for Watson and a sixth rounder...

.. then handed him a potentially franchise crippling fully guaranteed contract..

The Browns media and fans are starting to cling to the idea that they will get to void his contract over this injury...

All based off a facebook post showing him out of a walking boot...🤣.... he would have to have been hurt doing one of the specific things outlined in his contract... not following the team doctor isnt one of them... guys have the right to rehab as they see fit...

who give a 3 year guaranteed contract, second richest in the league, to a coach who's team got smoked in its last 4 PO games?
