Surprised nobody has mentioned this yet. I’ve been following the Watson sweepstakes closely only because I did not want to see him end up in Cleveland. Glad I can stop fretting now

Even better story line is Baker requested a trade, and they are reporting the clowns will not honor it.

A beautiful popcorn moment. I remember how cocky the fans were after their playoff win.

Just beautiful.

That was a risky move going after Watson and not landing him. Popcorn moments ahead indeed

Wait, I thought that I read where all the "experts" in August, 2021 assured me the Clowns were the team to beat and the Steelers an afterthought!

They're EXPERTS, people!!

A bunch of people here kept saying the browns were an immature and poorly run team that was going to implode, yet so many didn’t listen

The only bowl those browns are going to is the toilet bowl to flush away their careers

"Watson shuns Cleveland."

So those 22 sexual assault claims are an issue. That's a problem. But he does have the "Cleveland sucks" going for him ...

It will also be funny if the Saints don't land him. They kick the can down the road yet again with restructures galore (they were like 60-80 million over if memory serves) to be able to fit him under their cap just in case they were the lucky ones chosen by the extremely well massaged Watson.

ATL, that's where the rubbed will meet the road.

And oh yeah, eff the clowns. If it is (or ever was) Brown flush it down.

I was going to say the exact say thing. I was telling folks that it would be funny if Mayfield waits to see if DW goes to the Browns, and if not, drops a bomb on the Browns and requests a trade. Hilarious!!!

On a different note, I'm intrigued by the TruPITsky/MitchBURG (pick your poison :) ) signing. If this defense takes a big jump with the signings of Wallace and Jack all I need from Mitch is to not lose the game for us. Baltimore did it with Dilfer all the way to a SB win. Maybe we could have the same luck. I don't know, but time will tell.

Right, the Browns wife is asking for a divorce after they tried and failed to court a hot mistress. That franchise is jinxed.

I’d call and offer Josh Dobbs for a fifth just to **** with them.

They are such a stupid organization. if true, it has been reported that the Browns wanted to move on from Mayfield because they wanted an "adult" at QB.

So they court Watson? He is their definition of an "adult?" Hahahahaha

Watson's favorite author? Shakespeare.

"To sleep - perchance to dream. Ay, there's the rub."

When the GM leaks to the media that they are looking for a more "adult" QB, and they are in the middle of chasing an "adult" with 22 accusations of sexual misconduct ... Yeah, you ask for a trade. I mean hate him or not, the only controversy Mayfield has generated while in Cleveland is a passive-aggressive feud with OBJ and too many bad commercials. "He's not an 'elite' QB and we made a mistake." Just say that and trade the kid. Don't pour salt on the wound by saying he's less mature than an accused sexual predator.

You’d think Haslam would’ve learned something during his time here as a minority owner. He strikes me as a big part of the problem….and it’s ******* hilarious!!!!

I dont know who leaked what. My first thought is that it was his agent.

If im the browns,, i make that agents life miserable if he leaked it.

On the field maturity is what he meant… baker cried and threw tantrums and let emotions guide his play way too often…

Hed get fired up and force a ball for an interception then try to double down the next series… on the field Watson is far more mature than mayfield… and just plain better…

The browns window may close quickly. They were able to build up the roster due to a ton of high picks and they had cap room because most of their best players were on rookie deals. But now they have to pay Garrett and have to make a decision on Baker or maybe have to pay another QB big money if they trade for a vet.

The Browns should try to trade for Kyler Murray. It seems Murray is unhappy in Ariz. The cards may see Baker as a similar player but with a better attitude. Baker ran the same Oklahoma offense as Murray and it’s a fit with what Kingsbury is doing.

I know. But you can't discount the off field immaturity, can you? On the field, Antonio Brown was great...it's the off field crap that blew it all up.
