It took awhile for them to wake up but watching Bell and the O line wear the Tennessee defense into submission brought back some great memories from the old days.

I hope the coaches don't forget how much of a weapon a dominating running game can be.

Excuse me while I go crank up Don't Fear The Reaper. I need more Cowbell!

They got plenty of cowbells in Tenn, lots of sheep too with it being the country music capital of the country we will be force fed lots of **** kickers and that I'm in love with ewe music

I think Tenn had the 30the run defense, we couldn't run at all vs Indy.

I cannot figure out this Steelers team. Seriously, I have no freaking idea.

They have a QB who freaking torched Indianapolis for 522 yards and 6 TD's, and then tossed another 6 TD's the next week. They have an elite WR - one of the best in the NFL - in Brown. They have a good young #2 WR in Bryant. They have a solid TE, and an elite RB. They have 2 #1 picks in the interior line. They can score 40 any week, and anything below 30 is a massive disappointment.

Yet they lose to dogshit like Tampa and the Jets, and bumble around for 40 minutes against garbage like Tennessee. They give up 0 sacks against Indianapolis, and about a zillion to the ****** Titans.

They can run, complete short passes, complete intermediate passes, complete long passes, go on long drives, control the ball.

And they can fumble the game away, commit 12 penalties, bumble around incessantly, sleepwalk for 2 quarters, etc.

So who the @$%@ are they? A great team? A good team? Mediocre, lousy, what?

I cannot figure it out. I would feel a ton better if their defense could get their **** together for more than 2 series.

Nostradomus couldn't figure out this team Steeltime. No way to figure out wtf we will see each week. So glad to see us run Bell hard this week, kid answered with 33 rushes and a 6.2 yd avg. damn impressive.

They are the Steelers. They play up to the competition they should lose to and down to the teams they should beat. They have been doing this **** at least since at least about 1992.

Not a team you want to follow if you have a heart condition in your family.

I think they are a talented team that manages to pull threw a decent amount of times despite questionable coaching

D needs a passrusher and a corner

and upgrade at tackle

team will go as far as the O lets them

provided coaching doesn't think too much and show us how smart they are

Speaking of coaching, I thought it was funny as hell watching Tomlin run around the locker room looking for players to high five and they really did not want much to do with him. They probably knew they almost lost to another lousy team.

Maybe so and I hate to say it but he was playing it up for the camera, the guys knew it and they were not going for it. Who can blame them. It was a good win but its not like they just beat the Pats in Foxboro

I think you are spot on here, slash. If the Steelers had 1 great pass rusher - somebody to make that QB **** his pants and force a double team - and 1 really good CB, the defense would be substantially better.

Add in one good LT, and get Gilbert off the goddam field, and they are now a seriously good team.

Is there some reason he can not call his players by name? Great games tight ends... would it have been that hard for cool shades to speak their names the fans can. JMM you maybe correct these guys might be tired of his **** even though they remain professional and say the right thing in front of the microphone. Tomlin was over joyed that win saved his job for a while.

Sad thing now our best pass rushers are Harrison and Kiesel and they are all ready old.

You guys and youre ****** theories....playin it up for the camera ? Players werent havin any of it............you guys hate this coach so much is overshadows ANYTHING good that the team might accomplish. You watch him more closely and intently than a porn addict watches **** flicks. Enter-******-tainment at the fan level at its best. Only at steelernation.com

I don't hate Tomlin and IMO that brief video in the locker room spoke volumes.......just like Harbaughs last week. Which I also brought up.

Harbaugh reminded me of Scott Farkus.......Tomlin of Grover Dill. (Alllllllright, whose next?!?!)

I totally agree. It was kind of embarrassing seeing our head coach on national TV so excited about such a poor performance. I know we got the win and that's all that matters, but ****! That DID speak volumes!

There's no mystery to it. coryea already laid it out for you. My grandmother could run for 100 against the titans, and she's been dead for 30 years.

This thread is about consistency. Being world beaters one week then sucking the next will not get you to the playoffs, and if you do make it, not far. With the exception of the fourth quarter, our team sucked.

The real kewl thing is, Bell carrying and getting more yards after contact. He had POWER going forward, something this team hasn't seen since the bus. Consistent and now glad for the bye as to get Mr. Bell some much needed rest.

Salute the nation

Road wins are always hard no mater who you are playing. I am more concerned about the loss to Tampa at home than I am over beating Tenn by only 4 in Nashville. The Fact is if you wine all your home games and split your away games you finish 12-4 and you are a pretty good team.

Almost makes ya forget that Pittsburgh rolled with Jonathan Dwyer as long as they did....almost

Wow. I don't hate the guy, I just thought it was funny to watch him get all worked up and the players were oblivious to him.

Don't start that, thinking 12 -4 is good will get you called unrealistic particularly when you expect a performance of that caliber.

This team is a streaky team. When they get the offense clicking they are very good. When they aren't they can be very bad. The defense is just average. They are relying on Keisel and Harrison to keep the ship afloat. The problem with the team is they are so inconsistent, or streaky. The **** are horrible against the run. That's the only reason the Steelers won.
