...and thats LeVeon Bell.

Coaches and players need to push egos aside and incorporate LeVeon as the focal point in this offense. As one analyst stated, he could be a new era Marshall Faulk. He nets results, moves the chains and hes versatile. Great hands, optimal field vision and good speed. Hes a major mismatch to any defender (if used in the passing game).

Problem is, i dont think our QB can effectively execute a screen pass to a running back or if he can even throw a swing pass.

But id at least prefer we make Bell the focal point on offense. The oline is much better this year so the running game is very effective (hes avging nearly 5 yds per carry and hes set new Steeler records already). Lets build towards something next season, so i dont have see anymore of those ****** putrid *** bubble screens.

after yesterday's debacle, i'm not sure our franchise QB can even complete a simple 5-yard pass considering his depth perception issue.

...and we sure as hell know he's not throwing the ball way downfield, with accuracy!

Any amount of success we have will come thru LeVeon. Antonio and those other weapons will benefit. We just have to shift the focus to him and not force things on Ben.

Maximize

I aghree, but it does need to be a little mixed. Ben best have a GREAT next outing, along with many members of the team. Including are COACHES !!!!!!!! All of them.

think you are a bit late for this. Bell is the focal point of the offense.

Bell had a ton of yards and a score against the Saints. They're "feeding him" enough, short of having his prime end by the time he is 26 years old.

70 yards in the first half and finished with 95. Not going heavily on the run in the 2nd half was a failure when it was working.

Cope, that's what I mean when I say we never exploit the other team's weakness. Hell, NO had one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL and we abandon the run in the 2'nd half.

So basically after a first half where we ran on them but couldn't score you want us to keep on pounding the rock when down by multiple scores? what does that accomplish? Bell had 250 yards of total offense... over 150 yards receiving... who the **** cares if the yards are on the ground or through the air? NO has as piss poor a pass D as a rush D and after ben hit his hand they started putting more men in the box. once they were ahead by a few scores you have to abandon the run game. That wasn't why we lost... we lost because we sucked in the first half on O and the D couldn't get a good stop after the 1st quarter

To be fair, we couldn't score primarily because after running all the way down the field we switched to the pass.

At least in the second quarter.

Bell trucked all the way down the field, got 5 yards on 1st down....and we passed inc. passed inc and kicked a field goal.

Does anyone really believe with them gassed and on their heels if we had gone hurry up and fed Bell two more times he wouldn't have picked up the 5 yards for a first?

The Steelers went away from the run because they were playing catch up most of the game.

But running vs passing does make a difference, yards are not yards. Case in point, the Steelers had 435 yards passing and lost, how often has a team lost with even half as many rushing yards?

We were playing catch up because of incomplete passes and interceptions. One put the ball in the red zone for the saints with them needing 11 yards to score. The other was an interception on first down in the red zone for us that negated a scoring opportunity. Ben had a qb rating of 35 in the first half. Ben not only had a bad game with his throws but his decisions were horrible as well. The defense was able to stop an offense several times that is in the top 8 of nearly every stat they measure. Our offense could not score or keep the damn ball while facing one of the bottom defenses in the nfl. Those guys are so bad they dropped more interceptions than they caught!

Our franchise QB played like Kordell on a bad day, except instead of worm killers he was chucking high fly balls.

Ben was not having a good day at all and likely should have been pulled for a bit at least. He maybe right the injury did not affect his throws they were bad before he got hurt. When he is having a bad game sit his *** down and let someone else go in for a bit. If they other guy is having a good day we win, if not maybe the quarter backs coach and some others can find the things he needs to adjust in his game to stop the ball from sailing and possibly get him tossing it to better spots on the field. We have been able to prove that leaving him in does not get us wins after the bad start in most cases.

It shouldn't take long to prove how good we are without him.

Its one of those things, the rest of the team is still the rest of the team. After banging his hand all he did was hand off, Gradkowski could do that just as well. If he comes in and plays for a while Ben can go back in later to be worse in the first half he would have needed to have a rating of 34. Many times one wonders what could happen if you pull someone that is having a bad day for what ever reason and give someone else a chance to have a good day, instead of reinforcing the bad day by continuing it.

GREAT couple of post(s) Wingman. This team isn't performing up to par, for what ever reason. Could it be they are thinking, what the hay, coach cool shades will just mess it up anyways? Or maybe over the bye week, they skipped NO and game planned 1/2 thier time for Cinncinnatti ? I agree on the pulling Ben, he needs to know that this team doesn't revolve around him. If they are playing BR fotball and not TEAM football, then lots can be going on, including desention among the ranks.

Bell has 1700 yards from scrimmage this year. The problem has nothing to do with not getting Bell the Ball.
I'm afraid Tomlin is gonna "run him til the wheels come off" Like he did with Willie Parker

I think Markus Wheaton is very athletically gifted, but I think he is a below average #3 wideout at best. Looks lost, inconsistent, alot of drops. Seems to always be out of position and not on the same page as Ben.
Martavis Bryant has looked more and more like Limas Sweed. He looks lost sometimes as well.
DHB Was picked off the trash heap after being let go by the worst team in the league.
Dri Archer, I hope he graduated with a diploma, because he has 4 NFL paychecks left.
Lance Moore, overrated, Drew Brees can make any reciever look decent.
