We play

The other games of interest are all different times

Colts-Texans Saturday night, Jags-Titans Sunday early afternoon, and Bills-Dolphins Sunday night.

IF we lose Saturday. We win Broncos to win, Jags to lose, and Colts/Texans can't tie and we'd still be the 7th seed.

The Colts-Texans tie is no longer a path?
Not sure on ties

First and foremost, the Pittsburgh Steelers needed to win on Sunday and they did just that. Pittsburgh pulled off a 30-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks improving their record to 9-7. If the Steelers want to sneak into the playoffs here is what needs to happen in Week 18.

The Steelers need to beat the Baltimore Ravens for the simplest path to the playoffs. If the Steelers win, they need one of the two things to happen to get into the playoffs.

Either the Jacksonville Jaguars or Buffalo Bills must lose one of their games. The Jaguars take on the Tennessee Titans and the Bills are going against the Miami Dolphins.

There is a route to the playoffs for the Steelers that would involve losing to the Ravens next week. If that were to happen, the Steelers would need the Jaguars to lose specifically and would need the Denver Broncos to beat the Las Vegas Raiders.

The reality is, if not for three horrible weeks of football late in the season, none of this would matter. Pittsburgh has put itself into this position and has to live with the results.

Saturday 4:30 game
Good so we will know what we need if we win

And if we lose…………….. ?

Shots and coaching change (regardless of win or lose).

Salute the nation

Well the game matters either way and would make for very interesting Sunday night game if Steelers win and need help from the fish. Tomlin's never a losing season aside I will say this. Winter is very long here as you can imagine (though this is the best in more then 20 years). The Steelers playing meaningful games until at least 1st or 2nd week of January helps.

Hate them playing Saturday after the west coast trip, especially in Baltimore.

Absolutely hate it.

Stop living in your fears!!
:emmersed:

Hopefully, it doesn't make a difference, but the extra day of rest/preparation after traveling across the country would have been nice.

Lamar won't play much, if it all, but it's a tense rivalry and I get the sense Harbaugh is still going to play most of his starters and aim to knock the Steelers out.

He's a douche like that.

I know Duck was at QB, but I'll never forget RGIII and the Ravens clowning the Steelers in a must-win game back in 2019.

Q. Was game scheduled for Saturday or moved to it for TV revenue?
If it was moved all I'm saying is a handicapper is assigning at least 1.5 points in favor of the Ravens for that situation and that is real.

No games were scheduled until announced yesterday.

Higher chance now that The Crows rest people since it's a short week of rest.
