Week 1 is finally here. We get the chance to wash the nasty taste of a first round playoff exit out of our mouths and start the 2021 season on a fresh note. The Pittsburgh Steelers team looks a lot different than the team that finished 12-4 last year and there’s plenty of optimism surrounding the 2021 squad. The Steelers travel to play a tough opponent Week 1 in the Buffalo Bills and we have your best bets to start the season out with a little extra cash in your pocket.

1) Najee Harris over 22.5 receiving yards (-110)

This prop is pretty self explanatory. The offense is going to look a lot different than last year and it’s mostly going to revolve around a new and improved running game. Harris, the Steelers first round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, will be the focal point of this offensive attack in Week 1. Ben Roethlisberger has always looked to his running backs when in trouble and Harris’ ability to move in the open field will give him the opportunity to easily go over this low number. In the only game that Harris played with Roethlisberger in the preseason, he had over 50 receiving yards in just two drives. Look for Harris to easily have 3 catches and surpass 30 yards in the process.

2) Josh Allen over 24.5 pass completions (-114)

We usually don’t bet on the other team, but this number is extremely low. The Bills are a pass heavy team and Allen has become one of the most accurate passers in the NFL. Allen had 24 or more completions in 12 of 16 games last year and had a completion percentage of 69.2 percent in 2020. The Steelers will shut down an abysmal Buffalo run game and the Bills will be forced to throw a lot. Allen will likely be forced to throw the ball over 40 times and even if he completes 65 percent of those passes, then he would easily go over this prop. Look for Allen to complete at least 27 passes and easily cash this low number.

3) Diontae Johnson over 5 catches (+105)

If you followed me at all last year, we made a lot of money on Roethlisberger’s trust in Johnson. Johnson went over 6 catches in 10 of the 14 games he played full time in last year and was Roethlisberger’s favorite target all season. Johnson will likely get double digit targets and have at least 7 catches against a Bill’s secondary that has multiple question marks outside of shut down cornerback, Tre’Davious White.

Let’s build off our success last season of over 70% winners and cash these three best bet props in Week 1 as we celebrate a Steelers victory in Buffalo.
