At first I thought this was some WWE type schtick, but when he started calling out the scheme( so basically coaches) I said Oh ****....Haden looks shocked like he knows he will never be invited to the alumni functions in Pittsburgh again lol.

I'm glad Deebo is as mad as I am over the 50/50 ball before even establishing the run.

Good for you Deebo!
I’m happy some of these former players are pissed enough to start bitching about what they’re seeing.
It provides credibility to the the entire mess this organization has found itself in when former players start talking.

Deebo sounds just like me after those plays.
He lets lose

This is great
2nd and 1 and we throw up a 50/50 ball on the second play of the game.

If you didn’t know better, you’d think these guys were criticizing a new coach who doesn’t understand the Pittsburgh Steelers’ culture. Instead, they’re former players who actually played for the current head coach.
Exactly. It's time for change, but it's not happening. They won't fire him with years on a contract. We have at least 2 more years of garbage football ahead of us.

Time was 10 years ago or more. At this point it's laughable, embarrassing, idiotic insanity.

Damn.....about sums up most of what SteelerNation here has been saying here for a while now.

Final offensive series both Washington and Warren weren't on the field. Make it make sense. 🤔

There is no sense to be had. That is what is so frustrating to all of Steeler Nation who doesn't have their head firmly lodged into their rectum, i.e. The Tomlin apologists. Even the most casual fan, like my lovely wife, questioned why there were only two DL on the goal line stand. It's absolute madness and no one in the Organization gives two ***** about the piss poor product put out onto the field. We only watched the game as we were at a fish fry and my in-laws had it on the porch TV, otherwise I wouldn't have watched at all. I'm going to say it... **** Rooney, **** Captain Cool Shades, you've ruined football for me.

Whole lotta truth there

Can we have James as interim HC after firing Tomlin today?
Then We can all celebrate the holiday by Thanking Art for giving our Steelers a chance

You could tell early the play calling was gonna be from the “I’m a dipshit bag”

Get 9 on first play of the game vs a team with no LBs that struggles against the run even when healthy. There is zero chance that ball goes into the air until it’s at least 3rd and over 5 if I’m calling plays. Come out there and establish to that defense that it’s gonna be a long day of having the rock slammed down your throat.

They should have easily eclipsed 50-60 yards rushing and a TD that first drive just to prove a point. A Tomlin team will never exploit an opponent’s weakness and will always play with its food.

They go against the 26th ranked run defense and the defense that is the worse in the NFL at yards per carry at over 5... they gain like 9 yards on first down then they go 50/50 to DK....with a backup QB.

This is where I disagree with Deebo, in this case it wasn't scheme it was play calling.

They allow the QBs a section on the play sheet with their favorite plays. We know Mason is a deep ball guy( that's about all he's good at) and there is also a pretty much across the board philosophy with all teams that when you are 2nd and 1 or 3rd and 1 that's where you take your shot...but this is the backup QB. Why would you put him in that spot and risk shaking his confidence?

After that pick Mason turtled. He went almost full check down mode. They should have established the run and kept the Bears off balance. That to me is just a strange way to think and operate on the opening series. It truly is "situationaly trash."

Completely different if you had Ben or Rodgers...I just don't get why you would make that call, that early, with a backup who hasn't played all year against one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Rudolph should never have had the option to throw that even if DK was single covered.

When Austin gets canned bring him as a LB assistant or in some capacity to put feer and give insight on whoever the next DC is some of Lebeau creative sets like the 3-3-5
1-5-5
These guys on D need to feer if they miss a ssignment or a blown tackle a coach that will grill them.

The players need to grill each other as well. One high standard, live up to it or get the **** off the field.

They probably pulled themselves out of the game, that's what everyone says when Watt isn't on the field late in games, it couldn't be the incompetent Coach could it?

Listening to 93.7 The Fan this morning and they are completely blasting Tomlin.
I’ve never heard the sports talk shows in Pittsburgh this vocal and I mean negatively about the greatest coach ever.
The fans calling in have been brutal as well. You can hear it how frustrated and totally disgusted the fans are. Everyone calling in completely calling for a major overhaul.
I’ve never heard it this bad. This is different now and you have to know they are hearing this negative reaction over on Water Street at Steelers’ HQ.
We shall see!

Think about how long this process has lasted. The Broncos loss was the final straw for a group of fans followed by the Jacksonville loss. Then there was a natural breaking point when Ben retired. I think that's been the three "big" moments when large groups of fans wanted a change.

Last year I think was the first time I saw a majority of fans wanting a change. The local media finally reached a tipping point as well. All hope was lost when Tomlin promised change in his year end press conference and then did absolutely nothing. The team went "all in" this offseason and the results are the same. That was the final nail in the coffin for anyone holding out hope.

Besides being unhappy with what will be 9 straight seasons without a playoff win, there's basically no one in this fanbase that has any belief or confidence that Tomlin will properly usher in a new QB. If they run it back yet again, it just continues to show that this is not a serious franchise when it comes to competing in the NFL.

Completely different with Rodgers huh?

Short Throws
  • Emphasis on Quick Release: Rodgers has prioritized getting rid of the ball quickly, often in under 2.5 seconds, which is an NFL high for the 2025 season.
  • Shallow Targets: Over 75% of his attempts have been in the short range (0-9 yards downfield or behind the line of scrimmage), resulting in a very shallow average intended air yards per target of just 4.7 yards.
  • Scheme and YAC: Rodgers has stated this approach is due to defenses playing coverage (like Cover 2) to prevent deep plays, focusing instead on "precision passing and short of the sticks". The strategy has been effective for the Steelers' offense, which is generating significant yards after the catch (YAC).

Long Throws
  • Infrequent Attempts: Deep throws have been rare, with reports from early season practices noting several incomplete or overthrown vertical routes.
  • Lack of "Big-Time Throws": In his four-touchdown Steelers debut, Pro Football Focus (PFF) notably credited Rodgers with zero "big-time throws" (graded as among the best in the NFL), indicating a lack of high-difficulty deep passes.
  • Outlier Plays: While his game includes occasional long touchdowns resulting from a receiver's YAC after a short throw, genuine deep passes have been the exception rather than the norm. This stands in stark contrast to his reputation as a great deep-ball passer during his prime in Green Bay.

Just shut you're mouth

It continues as the afternoon guys on The Fan are torching the great coach.
Ex players calling him out and it’s always the same…. Schemes are bad.
Colin Cowherd whom I don’t necessarily care for completely torching Tomlin and this meaningless non losing record that now stretches 21 seasons.
Cowherd says it’s meaningless and that the fans wear it like a badge of honor. He’s wrong on that one though! We do not wear it like a badge of honor. Most of us are ******* sick of it and want this nonsense to end.
Tomlin with his meaningless non losing streak has this team in limbo.
Never good enough to compete for championships but also never bad enough to draft blue chip players, especially QB. Worst place to be.
Rooney better be listening!

Just shut you're mouth
You do not need an apostrophe in this case.

Just shut you are mouth, see that doesn’t sound right.

Rule of the thumb if it doesn’t sound right it probably isn’t.

You’re know what I mean?

😅

I'm seeing more and more of the national guys wondering just what the hell Tomlin and the rest of the staff is doing...they are finally coming around to what the fans have noticed for the last 5 years at minimum...Now we just need to owner to act.
