We have
1.Trading a first and Fourth to move ahead of the Jests for Broderick Jones

2. trading down in the third for a third and a fourth and getting Mount Washington and Nick Herbig.

3. Getting Allen Robinson and a seventh rounder that turned into Spenser Anderson for a higher seventh round pick…

4. Trading Dotson for what likely ends up more draft capital than he cost initially

5 getting a sixth for K Green…

Do we still have the POLL option available?

I am going with Jones. He has the ability to be a top tier LT and brought needed competition to the position. At a position that great talent is hard to come by, Steelers snagged Kenny's future protector.

By limiting it to this year , I eliminated him getting the 2nd for Chase Claypool too… which is also awesome… and his hands down worse trade… giving up nothing for WJ3….

And I didn’t put him passing on trading the 2.1 pick and instead taking JPjr

1 & 2 both due to trench workers, albeit a TE but still a blocking TE.

Getting Jones was superb as a high-quality, athletic LT is gold, Jerry, GOLD!

However, I have to go with trading 80 for 93 and 132 since the Steelers get a potentially dominant TE who improves the running game and redzone right now and a valuable edge rusher who has shown he can get to the QB. Those guys win games in the 4th quarter, or for Herbig, in the 3rd quarter when he spells Highsmith or TJ and keep them fresh for the 4th.

I want to, but it's too early for me to have a clear answer.

1.Trading a first and Fourth to move ahead of the Jests for Broderick Jones - If Jones develops into the player they think he can be, this one will be hard to top. Elite players >>>>

2. trading down in the third for a third and a fourth and getting Mount Washington and Nick Herbig. - Both can be excellent role players if their trajectory continues. These are players Colbert never took advantage of in the middle rounds.

3. Getting Allen Robinson and a seventh rounder that turned into Spenser Anderson for a higher seventh round pick… - Robinson was essential to rounding out the depth of the WR corps.

4. Trading Dotson for what likely ends up more draft capital than he cost initially - We'll see who the Steelers draft, but moving up that many spots could mean the difference between a quality prospect like Herbig vs a guy who will struggle to make the roster

5 getting a sixth for K Green… - I'm still surprised they got any picks for him

A second for a fading Claypool that ended up as th 32nd pick and a 6th for a guy that beat out Amber Lynn for how much time spent off their feet. This guy is a magician reaching in his hat and pulling out uncut diamonds.

Not Omar but oh-more

Please.

Great Post5 448, t5hink s for all the great ones along the way.

I was VERY adamant on getting TRENCH workers in the draft. I am very pleased all the way around, but I strongly feel Jones will be the BEST LT we have had in a long time.

Jones today is better than Dan Moore was as a newly starting LT. No kid’s gloves for Moore but we also had an urgency and no better options to ease him in.

Broe3derick Jones is getting eased into his starting role and if Chuwks falters, Jones will start sooner than expected And at LT. Moore will be slid over to RT.

I’m pretty excited for this ‘23 team and expect success in the end.

I think Andy weidl has had a noticeable impact with player evaluation. His expertise coupled with khan wizardry shine like a diamond. Rooney took his good old time hiring a new general manager. He interviewed many for the position. His evaluation of gm's thus far looks superb. Bringing Andy in was also an excellent move.

Our first 3 picks was a work of genius. But couldn't happen without the Claypool trade.

This and if we end up getting a draft pick for Chucks then it's just icing on the cake.

I think Chucks will be kept as depth this year, regardless.

Who will start in his place.. I don't see Jones in anything but back up this year.
I think he will get reps but not a lot initially. But as he gets comfy who knows. A long year a long season to think that O-line will stay healthy. Plus if Jones develops quickly that might force their hands to play him sooner. I can't rule that out as a possiblity.

Probably trading the A for the H in his name.
