What do you make of this youtube channel?

One day on youtube I clicked on "Somebody's Baby" by Jackson Browne and had a WTF moment when I saw a hammer and sickle in the logo of "Retrospective Soundtracks" as the video played. Apparently the channel specializes in '80s music videos and movie clips.

Am I missing something? Is the logo apolitical or benign?

Let me offer an example from pro wrestling if I may. The NWA and WWF were "we don't dare speak the other's name/acknowledge the other's existence" mortal enemies in the 1980s through the 1990s until WCW folded and WWE became the only game in town after the decades long Cold War. Vince McMahon bought all of the videography of the rival territories once they were vanquished and he was last man standing.

So now, if I watch promo clips of the NWA's flagship World Champions, The Nature Boy Ric Flair or even The American Dream Dusty Rhodes, there is a "WWE" watermark or logo on all material that used to belong to the NWA/WCW.

Vince McMahon's ceaseless way of letting you know, "we won (the Cold War)."

So, are the communists taking the halcyon days of our entertainment -- "demoralizing" entertainment at that -- and music in this case, watermarking it in every video, and letting you know, "it's over...we won?"

Retrospective - looking back on or dealing with past events or situations.

Something shady about the hammer and sickle for sure, and if you click on some of the other channels its clearly Russian(err, I mean Communist). So yeah, WTF and why are they buying up the rights on these films and music?

No mistaking that symbol. We're barreling full steam ahead toward our fundamental change. All they ever needed was the educational system. Revise all of the books,don't teach history and demonize the entire foundation of the country and its founders.

Yeah, text is in Russian and I guarantee they aren't buying the rights to anything, they're getting paid for clicks on their videos. How very capitalist of them.

Yeah at least have the courage of your convictions if you're gonna advertise you're a Commie.

And that Phoebe Cates pool scene in "Fast Times" is still one of the greatest (for the comedic effect mainly, yeah).

How many of those corporations are still standing or relevant? At least half have been replaced by Google, Twitter, FB, and Amazon. America is still here. #MAGA
