Chicago - MATT EBERFLUS
-This was a weird hire and seems like it came out of left field. It doesn't feel like he was hired because of scheme, but rather overall ability to build a strong locker room. The foundation of the future is based on Justin Fields' success, so he has to put his young QB in position to succeed.
Denver - NATHANIEL HACKETT
-Denver went with the typical modern hire. Young offensive mind off a popular coaching tree. Energetic and a good personality, definitely has a 2020 head coach feel. Denver is in position to win right now, but needs a QB.
Las Vegas - JOSH MCDANIELS
-McDaniels feels like he should be good and with the offensive talent the Raiders have, they should be in position to succeed right away. I don't know if he is that all-around leader you need from a top head coach. Maybe he learned after his first stint.
New York Giants - BRIAN DABOLL
-This one felt inevitable and one the Giants need to hit a home run on. Time is running out on Daniel Jones and they are banking on Daboll bringing him along just as he did for Josh Allen.
Jacksonville - OPEN
-Leftwich felt like a shoe in for this position, but I understand him not wanting to work with Baalke. They've interviewed a ton of candidates and like Chicago, could be in a great position if their QB develops into a franchise guy.
Houston - OPEN
-The Texans are a mess and this job isn't very appealing. They fired their last coach after one year and have brought in candidates like Hines Ward and Josh McCown. Brian Flores feels like a good fit here as long as they are patient and give him time to build it his way. Not sure if they'll go that way.
Miami - OPEN
-Who is going to trust Tua as their guy?
Minnesota - OPEN
-A chronic underachiever, this team should be a perennial playoff team. Harbaugh would be fun in the NFC North if they decide to go that direction.
New Orleans - OPEN
-Never fun to be the guy who follows the legend, especially when you don't have a QB.
