Scheme was one of the most legit criticisms against Tomlin. What do you want out? Added? Increased?

I am hoping for play action to be common. Also want that two down lineman gone. Really can't stand the prevent with a two point lead. Maybe a challenge coach and a clock manager worth a hoot?

You?

Big uglies controlling OL/DL so the others can play around that core attacking on both sides of the ball, enabling full use of strategies.

I want the scheme to be adaptable to the game conditions as they happen. I didn't love Cowher's turtle ball, but I sure understood it's purpose.

I don't ever want to hear again that other teams know the Steelers schemes because they never change them.

A scheme that involves using Freiermuth before they reach desperation stages.

All I want is some unpredictability coming into games and in game adjustments. Oh and maybe some half time adjustments.

I am not greedy. I just want a modern age Steelers team. Not some defensive guy on another team telling us we knew exactly what they were going to run.

I love the run game. Looking forward to see what Warren hopefully Kenny and kaleb can do under different leadership. Washington and the O line looking different. Also another weapon at Wr should take some bodies out of the box and give DK easier looks. Maybe use the Te more. Especially over the middle like others mentioned.
Most of all maximizing the talent we already have, which has flashed all over but never on a consistent basis. That alone should help time of posession which will automatically turn into found money for any defense no matter who is Defensive coordinator.
If we had a better run game/ time of posession it would have helped every other aspect of the offense and defense. Would have been in alot more games this year had the second half defense been closer to the way they played in the first half.
Not expecting miracles but I am more excited just because of the element of the unkown this offseason. Could we get a downgrade at head coach? Thats in the range of outcomes. For all the flaws Tomlin is definitely far from the worst coach. I just can't see a possibility of new coordinators not being a huge upgrade.

Obviously the necessary scheme adjustments will be employed including components such as

Usage of the middle of the field
Better personnel packages
Better situational play calling
An exit from the house of fear to some aggressive play
Players will be coached and developed

Obviously the glass is now full
As is the pitcher next to it
It’s a new day, a new dawn, a new life

Just beyond ecstatic that Groundhog’s day was yesterday!!!!

This shall be a fun offseason refueled with spirit and hope

I hope we begin with learning how to freaking tackle on DEF and gang tackling ... everyone plays through the whistle

On Offense someone with the term SLANT as part of the vocabulary and not Jet Sweep

And things of that nature

I'm looking forward to someone running a current NFL offense, and not playing turtle ball all year in fear of turning the ball over just to keep everyone game close, sure you can win 9 games playing like that, but you have no shot winning in the playoffs like that.

Whatever fits the roster. A great coordinator designs a system around his talent. Mike Mularkey had the 7th and 8th ranked offenses in 2001 and 2002 with Kordell Stewart and Tommy Maddox. He maximized both.
This. Cowher took a team that was mediocre at best and had them in the playoffs his first year. He moved the team on from banging the square peg into a round hole and devised schemes to match the best of the talent he had on the roster.

I am also excited toward actual roster building and not constructing at team to finish at 10-7. I think Tomlin knew for awhile this could be it hence the “all-in” approach this offseason.

Everything that everyone just mentioned is what Im
Looking forward to.
I want this staff of his gutted. Not much worth retaining.
He certainly didn’t leave as much as opposed to what his predecessor had left him.
Tomlin stepped into a ready made team with culture in place, leaders, loaded roster, young franchise QB.
What he leaves is zero franchise QB, aging defense, no real leaders, some terrible inflated contracts.
His successor will have a more difficult time for success than he did.
Most importantly I want a young, modern, innovative coach with fresh ideas. What I don’t need is a head coach who talks in cliches, tells me how legendary his team is going to be, makes ridiculous statements.
What I will remember most about Tomlin the past 15 seasons after the last SB appearance…All hat and no cattle.

Tomlin could sell the sizzle, but not the steak

Spent so much time on the sizzle that nice juicy mid rare I ordered came out well done and tasting like shoe leather.

throwing to a TE over the middle and jump balls to your tall receivers on the goal line

a defense that gets off the field on 3rd and long

Lot of bullshit over the years.
