Well its obvious we are going to draft one sometime in this draft... so what is your guess?
Option 1 Trading up in the First round...
-this would mean giving up lots of premium assets for a qb you expect to be a long term solution...
Option 2 standing pat in the first round.
-this can mean drafting a top guy who is falling or reaching for a mid level prospect to make sure you get him
Option 3 trading down into the bottom of the first or second round.
-This gets you extra assets later in the draft, while still grabbing an upper mid tier qb prospect
Option 4 in the third round.
- a gamble that one of the better guys is still on the board by now
Option 5 the 4th round
-the first round of the third day is often where a higher level expected qb prospect falls to... you may need to trade up to grab them though... they usually go high on this day
Option 6 the 5th round
-basically, you are in backup territory here... its not really where teams swing for the fences on a high risk/ high reward guy... they are looking for safe stable backup types..
Option 7 the 6th round.
-The sixth is where you really go for broke on guys who need some work, but could pay off big... again this is like shooting for a starter three or four years down the road
Option 8 the 7th round...
if someone lasts till the 7th, its not because teams have any hope for them... if there was an inkling of hope, they went in the sixth... the seventh is where you find camp arms that may be practice squad guys for a while before contributing... Well unless your system can make a bum like Purdy into an imaginary star, lol.. ours cant
