I think there are some good options for him out there

New York (Giants) are basically owned by the same family as the Rooneys... they are married into each other ... they have a young QB Tomlin really liked

Miami's QB situation is more tenuous, but its warm and the team has talent

Atlanta is warm and probably closest to playoff ready outside of Baltimore

I dont think he will go to the three bottom feeder teams, and I dont think he stats in the division

I honestly think there are two teams that really could be interested that arent out of a HC yet

Tampa is the top pick... QB in place, just gutted the coaching staff and not thrilled with the HC plus he has history there

Green Bay is a cold weather team, but they are loaded and they are flirting with getting a different coach... likely a defensive guy if they did switch

Lastly if the Bills dont make it to the SB, fellow W&M guy McDermott may be out.. abd Allen fits the big ben mold for Tomlin

Making bank in studio for Fox, but I would love to hear him in the booth. There are no personality commentators anymore, could you imagine the Tomlinisms during an NFL game? I don't see him taking any of the current jobs because there are no ready-made QB situations...unless Buffalo opens up.

TV.

what could the Steelers expect for hm compensation wise to another team? not next year but maybe 2027?

So where do you think Mike tomlin ends up?
He has his pick of jobs.. he may just take a year off too

Does he ? We’ve been told s many times he would be hired in 5 minutes if he ever left here,…… that doesn’t make it true.

If you repeat something enough, it doesn’t mean it will happen.

I haven’t heard any scuttlebutt about him being hired / interviewed / associated with any particular team(s) yet.

I’m just playing devil’s advocate, but the rest of the NFL has seen his plate and not all want his left-overs.

Salute the nation

I picked Vegas etc.....only because my brother is a Raiders fan. I would love for him to get a few Tomlinships. He has told me numerous times that he would love a .500 season. And he was tired of me bitching about Tomlin(LOL). Let him have the Tomlin misery for a while. Davis won't put up with it for to long though. Not like Rooney did.

AI says:

Potential Next Steps:
  • Media Career: He's a prime candidate for high-profile broadcasting jobs at Fox, ESPN, NBC, CBS, or Amazon Prime, offering him a chance to analyze the game he just left.
  • Return to Coaching (Warm Weather Focus): While stepping away, he's indicated a preference for coaching in a warmer climate if the right opportunity arises, making teams in sunny locales attractive.
  • Time Off: He might take a year to recharge before deciding on his long-term future in football.

Broncos gave the Saints:
2023 1st
2024 2nd

for

Sean Payton
2024 3rd
And Sean Payton didn't have 19 non-losing season, so we should EASILY get 27 first round picks.
I mean, Tomlin is THAT amazingly awesome.
We fans will all rue the day.

I really think by tomorrow Tampa Bay may be a real option... it feels right... they have a QB, they are real shaky with their head coach and only didnt fire him when he agreed to fire 5 assistants... they are right on the edge of being a playoff team

Tampa messed up by keeping their HC and allowing very good OCs to walk.

I know I may be in the minority but I would love to see him sitting right next to Bill Cowher next year, there was never any doubt that he can talk. Hell I would start watching the pre game again. I think he would make a great studio host

Interestingly enough, Cowher and Noll never coached again after the Steelers, their only other super bowl era coach, Austin, only coached one season elsewhere, but that was only cause Lombardi died right before the season started and he took over..

He can do as he wishes, but I wouldn’t mind the picks sooner than later..

If he goes to any network, fox is the reported network because of his relationship with Jay Glazier
