Who can answer this about hall of famers?

Larry Brown, Mark Rypien, Malcolm Butler, Santonio Holmes, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning...

A good number of them aren't even eligible (Tom Brady), so the list is fairly long.

Ward...for one.

Three SB's, two rings, one SB MVP, four Pro Bowls, 1000 receptions, he'll get in eventually.

FWIW I think Plunkett should be in too. I'm old enough to remember him playing and for a few years he was one of the top QB's in the league at a time when the league included Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach, Len Dawson, Joe Namath, and Fran Tarkenton.

Was just listening to A podcast yesterday where they were debating whether Hines would get in. The consensus was that it would be tough. There are so many deserving WR's ahead of him (with better stats), and by the time you clear the log jam, there will be even more after him that overshadow his accomplishments. AB has already eclipsed most of his team records.

Was Plunkett the MVP? I thought Rod Martin had multiple picks and got one, and Marcus Allen the other. I do know he is the only QB to win two SBs and not be in the Hall

He will get in... part of the HOF is name recognition, and Ward has that... the argument will be that the guy played the bulk of his career in a run first offense and when he retired was top ten in most reciever stats... and his "throwback football player" rep is going to help, not hurt him against divas who rubbed the Press the wrong way but had a few more catches or yards...

That being said wideouts have to wait a decade or so at lesst to get in....

..... Ward. A wide receiver who broke jaws and cleaned clocks! Love that guy.

This plus the "greatest blocking WR ever" narrative.

That log jam at WR could get cleared up this year, Moss, Owens, Bruce and Holt are semi-finalists and probably all belong in the HOF. Hines may not make it this year but things should be cleared up for him to get the gold coat in 2019 or 2020.

Papillon

I think Hines gets in. His personality and toughness are both strong points for him.

Hines needs a high profile TV gig. That should get him into the Hall pretty quick.

Will "stabbin" rayray make it this year???? I hope not...................
