On Shein (XM radio) today, Peter King predicted that Philadelphia and Baltimore would be in next seasons SB.

I’m NOT a peter king fan at all. He helped propagate Miles Garret over TJ WATT for DPOY

It would be hard to argue against either, but couple teams could un-seat either team.

Buffalo Bills should have been there this year and could very well be there next.

KC “free” ride is not going to be available like it was this season, making it much more difficult for them. They are talented and could surprise.

Pittsburgh may turn some heads early and may even win an PO game. I don’t see them progressing past WC round.

Washington Commanders are going to be a handful. They will better in the draft, but a solid team and will push hard.

Detroit got a little side tracked with injury late in the season. Again, they will contend and could make it.

These early, before the season even begins predictions are just slobber-feasting. **** Peter King

Anyone who thinks Garrett is a better player than TJ are just like HOF voters…..Steelers exhaustion is real and it’s spectacular 😉.

It will be all Pennsylvania.
Philly again, and there’s no reason why Steelers can’t be the AFC representative as long as they get some good coaching, a good QB, beef up their D and O lines, an upgrade in the secondary, and if Minkah returns to form, and then if the D plays like the highest paid D, and if we get a legit # 2 WR, and if Pickens matures, and we see the 2023 Watt, and if we beat the teams we should beat.

Now that is optimism.

The Steelers will find a way to win the Tomlinship. Winning a WC game is you softening your memory and letting hope trickle in. By July most of us will be there. I will have to see it to believe it with Baltimore. Though they may by default as KC ages out.

Well, Let's see who teams lose and who they gain in the off season and draft. You made compelling points @Drink IRON City and teams you mentioned will certainly contend if they stay healthy. I do disagree with your optimistic point of a Steeler's playoff win, however. When nothing changes year over year except a few players rotate in and out, you can expect the shame mediocrity as the year before.

One last point; If the Steelers bring in Aaron Rogers for QB1, I will not watch a single second of any Steeler game and will not even, for a millisecond, acknowledge that the 2025-26 season ever happened.

I agree 1000% and had already said the same thing when it was reported before SB, the Jets were moving on!

The Steelers aren’t a Rodgers in his prime from contending, let alone with the 41 yr old version!

…and if it can’t be the Steelers v. anyone, please let it be Bills or Texans v. Lions, so we are guaranteed a first time SB champ!

If you read close, I did say I don’t think they make it past WC round. I did say may turn some heads and actually win a PO game, followed by my doubt,. I any event obviously I want a 20-0 season and as every year, that is my pre-start of season prediction.

PS. You, and most everyone can call me DIC, no worries either way.

NO Rogers, ever ever ever.!!!

Health is always the main factor for most teams. Coaching is the next main factor, and unfortunately our team starts at near the bottom in that category.

Players from teams to teams are near or as currently stated, parity has never been closer than current play in the NFL.

What really separates these teams is injury and coaching.

One thing in our coaching world is Art Smith will be in his second year. There should be some improvement there. Just in his first year he took our 28th offense and turned it into (I think) 16th overall in the nfl (I did not look this up, just heard it on one of the talk shows). In any event, he improved the overall standing of this crap scheme system. I think he improves even more and his hand print will be a little more noticeable.

The injury bug is an independent beast and has no closed eye on any given player. Again, to bring coaching into this part of the equation, we have a minimal strength and conditioning staff. It needs to be expanded with MORE knowledgeable sub-coaches.

Off-season conditioning is out of the Steelers control. Guys like TJ / Minka / Cam / and most others know what to do. James Harrison was an extreme-ist who never became Tomlinized, would be a very good hire and mentor to anyone on the team as for strength and conditioning. Keep him independent so off-season workouts can happen, make him a paid intern durring the season.

Just a little attention to detail for us to ponder on.

There are only 4 teams to have never made a Super Bowl appearance.
My reason for wanting the Lions vs Texans…is because that would leave only Cleveland and Jax as the only teams remaining to have never made a Super Bowl appearance.
Jax is a newer franchise, so shame on Cleveland.

KC still need WRs especially with Kelce aging. Their D will be solid but they need to figure out why the OL got manhandled. Buffalo and Balt should be in the mix. For a dark horse team i would go with the Chargers.
NFC is more open. Philly, Detroit, Wash should be the favorites. Minn could be up there, but I think Darnold fell off at the end of the year and I believe he is a free agent so they will be rolling with JJ. The cowboys have talent but seem to be a hot mess. I can't picture an ancient coach turning them around
