Your Favorite Steeler Pick

Will Howard. Looks good. Will compete with Rudolph to start. Great up side.

EDIT: Just adding that i think they will also target a QB EARLY next year. Whoever is best starts. IDK who is drafted earlier or later. Until then im happy with Rudolph
or Howard or the other guy.

By far, It's Undrafted Free Agent Aiden WIlliams. A zero-star recruit from Alaska who hails from Division II Minnesota-Duluth shows us all just how serious Captain Cool Shades is about providing depth to the offensive line through the draft process.

Mike ignores top Offensive line talent for almost a decade, drafts three OL in the top 2 rounds in 2023 and 2024 and I guess he believes that is enough. What a joke.

Their first three picks were all “happy picks,” Harmon and Johnson were not hard to predict when Pittsburgh approached the podium the first two days. Sawyer was a bit of a surprise, didn’t think he would be there but makes sense due to our woeful run defense and he can still get after the QB. If we do sign Watt, there’s no way they will offer Highsmith what he wants, I think Sawyer will replace him rather than Herbig.

Harmon, Johnson, Sawyer and then Howard.
first three since it meant we were not taking Sanders. Howard since he fits a need and is a solid QB.

Apparently his RAS score is way up there, which is what Kahn looks for late in thew draft and UDFA. So maybe he has a chance athletically to develop into something.

Who would you have picked for OL in place of who they got?

Harmon as well here but need to know more about his injury. Articles I've read say players can sometimes play with the injury but surgery is typically a must. They need to get him in for a 2nd opinion or the surgery ASAP. He is either going to miss time because of the surgery or practice and play at less than 100%. Get the surgery done now and hope he doesn't have to miss all of OTA's and the preseason. If he does, his season is pretty much over as he will be trying to "get on a moving train".

Yup, probably read the same article.
That injury is not an if he will need surgery but when will he need it.

Second opinions are definitely in order. There is the option to get it done, get him right and bite the bullet or wait til that inopportune time when it’s ugly head represents itself…Smith’s law says it will be in a crucial stretch of games or approaching that first round WC exit game.

I’m going with Johnson as my favorite pick.
Runs like ya want a Steeler back to run, position of great need and awesome value to get a guy like that mid/late 3rd round.

Black... getting a NT type is something we really havent done much lately... the MO is ignore that type of player then try to find a refurb to fill the spot

It'd be so great if the 6th round pick Howie became the franchise QB the Steelers need.

Its really hard not to cheer on Harmon, understanding his difficult family time and the positive energy he seemed to bring, especially to a DL that needs exactly his potential.

There are these Iowa guys who already look good in black'ngold and it's hard not to like that tough LB named Jack.

With some luck, this could be a generational talent draft, vaulting SteelerNation back tonits glory!!!!

10-7 this year, lol.

I think Howard could be the Steal of the draft.

I don't know about generational. But if Howard became a multi- contract starter it would be excellent with that alone.

Kaleb Johnson, pure zone runner, top end speed once he’s in the open field, played the most 8-man fronts of all the backs in the draft.

Any Najee comps should be dismissed out of hand, Najee didn’t have that next gear and played on a loaded team, didn’t have to worry about stacked boxes.

I was only kidding. We still have an owner/HC issue that will lid any real chance at glory, like we have seen since the Green Bay SB loss.

Kinda strange the Steelers only got 2 steels of the draft this year. It is usually every pick could is
