Just saw on ESPN that the Browns are now in the mix for acquiring Revis who played under Petine while in NY. I do not want to see that happen since it gives the Browns two damn good CB's which also is somewhat surprising being that they drafted Justin Gilbert in the top 10 last year. They couldn't possibly be sour on this kid already.

good. wouldnt matter if you took the Steel Curtain and put them in that shithole. The Browns would still suck.

well, they have over $42M in cap space - they're going to buy somebody - Can he play QB?

NFL Team Salary Cap Tracker

1 Jacksonville Jaguars $66,343,777
2 Oakland Raiders $63,561,585
3 Tennessee Titans $46,520,231
4 Philadelphia Eagles $45,144,836
5 Cleveland Browns $42,156,497

30 Pittsburgh Steelers $4,605,649

If they cut Cam Thomas and Troy retires that should add a few million and if Ben gets signed here that would certainly add more cap space. I would think we'd have to be near the 15 mil mark if that happens.

I don't see how it matters, so far no CB has shown the ability to cover Antonio Brown. In fact I'd like to see this match up as Brown has done whatever he's wanted against every CB or defense the last 2 years.

Revis will be 30 when the season starts.
who ******* cares.

if he's still as good as he was, he'll make AB better than he was.
bring his old *** on

My concern isn't with our WR corp - as you all know, we have Captain "8 Second" at QB...just thinking about his health with no where to throw...

ESPN said something about us kicking the tires on Revis but im sure it was a calculated move by Mort to poke an otherwise disinterested fan base for ratings.

I would be shocked if the Aliquippa native and former Pitt star decided to come home. These guys do not give home town discounts. This is their lets just say window of opportunity to make the most money for a God given talent that they won't ever, ever come close to seeing again. No I don't blame Revis or any of these other guys to get what they can from these idiot owners. There is no one on this board that would be willing to give millions of dollars just to come home. They have all the time in the world to come home very rich men after their playing days.

I'm pretty sure our money spends the same. We could open enough space with a few creative restructures(Timmons adding 2 voidable years creates 4.5m for example)

Love to have him here but he got his ring this year and will sign for the biggest paycheck. If it's from an otherwise suck-*** team like the Browns I guarantee he won't give a ****.

I don't like to use the word "never", but will in this case. Will. Never. Happen.

Revis has always been one to chase money and now he has a ring. I'd be stunned if he didn't take the highest deal.

Justin Gilbert was benched for an undrafted rookie during the season...I know alot of people here wanted him badly last year (not I). I've said it numerous times, unless there is an absolute cant miss prospect ie Deion Sanders, Patrick Peterson, Charles Woodson, do not waste a first round pick on a CB. Too much risk for little reward.

Steelers: "You want how much?"

click

Schefter that the Steelers made an inquiry about Revis on Tuesday, but word is that Revis’ price tag was higher than the Steelers were going to go.

More than likely Tolbert dialed the wrong number by accident.

and it's done

Jets agreed to terms with CB Darrelle Revis, formerly of the Patriots, on a five-year, $70 million contract with $39 million guaranteed.

There isn't a corner in the game worth that kind of money, not with the rules the way they are...

As I figured. The Steelers could never come up with that kind of scratch.
