Steelers signing punter

A 35 yo QB and 32 yo punter. I thought the goal was to get younger, not make Cam feel younger. All kidding aside, he looks like an upgrade over Mr. inconsistent.

They will get another for camp - maybe a UDFA. (please don't spend draft pick on punter). I don't care if the new punter can boom it 65 yards...just decent hangtime, yardage and not shank every 3rd one.

The real question as we all know. Is how many passes will he throw?

They signed him for 9 million. There will be no competition.

Johnston finished tied for fifth in the league last season in net yards per punt (43.7), which happened to be just one tenth of a yard less than Harvins's regular punt average of 43.8. Harvin was #32 of 33 qualifying punters in that category.

Clearly an upgrade for the Steelers at the punting position. Finally.

There are a couple in the draft that would likely be there in the 7th for a lot less $$$$.
They've done so well at drafting punters. Beyond that there is only 1 the kid from Iowa worth drafting. And he's projecting to go in the 4-5
