Steeleers 3rd round pick = RB Kaleb Johnson

Warren, Johnson, Gainwell are a really good group. All versatile.

As for stacking the box against the Steelers, I don;t think that will happen very often. When you have DK and Pickens at WR, I doubt many DCs will want to risk bringing their safeties down.

Many won't agree with this but keeping Aaron Rodgers upright will make us a super bowl contender.

Despite the head coach, I'm just looking at the roster, and adding and protecting Rodgers, I'm like, well dammit boy.
We got 2 #1's to handle that...BJ & FANTANAU need to give us some return on investment...Crucial to our year

I agree...But I am delusional
Even if Rodger transforms our O into something more.....our D has been lacking greatly the last few seasons. Especially when we make the playoffs. Do you think we added enough for our D to do better or with Rodgers we will simply outscore everyone?

I think our pass coverage improves this year. We've certainly improved against the run.

Players have come and gone and we have gotten the same results. Hopefully this season it rings true.

Rodger who? Goodell?

Mason is your new hero. Get behind it, or im going to treat you like coach come October.

A real Difference is that this one got drafted in a high value spot for his talent, while najee was a reach

Exactly. If Steelers drafted Najee in the 3rd, nobody would have complained about his production.

Well, Coolie but that's because he's Coolie.

No doubt. Improving vastly against the run does two things. First, it puts teams into 2nd and long a lot of the time. Second, that leads to a lot of 3rd and need-to-pass, which lets the pass rush get after the QB. Difficult to unleash the pass rush when it's constantly 2nd and 2.

Harris didn't have the xtra gear. He was who he was. We will see how Johnson works out. Hopefully he can step in right away and do well.
Yup. That's why I mentioned college D quickness vs. NFL. I don't know the guys 40 time but he does seem faster than Naj.

I don’t know much about him but they needed to invest a decent pick on a RB. I don’t think Warren will hold up physically unless he gets spelled by another good RB

Welcome Kaleb!

I wonder if not picking a WR here or trading Pickens by now means they are going to keep Pickens and hope he behaves for one more year…it would be nice if Pickens was productive and we get a comp pick for him in 2026 but I’m afraid his attitude will be worse than ever this year
They never intended to trade Pickens. That was entirely a creation of the media and fans.

When was the last time we invested this heavily against the run in one draft. With players big enough to actually do the job. I can’t remember it.

I will be as optimistic as you are when Tomlin adjusts and adapts his Defensive scheme and philosophy. It probably will never happen though. Tomlin will get his 200 wins and then Rooney might simply say.....it is time we went our different ways as the Eagles and Reid did. It won't happen until then though. Guarenteed!!!!

Then they’d better have a plan to keep him in line this year compared to the way he acted last year. There’s a very good chance he will be worse behaved than ever playing out the last year of his rookie deal sharing targets with DK

Why? He will now have far more opportunities with single coverage. He may very well thrive this year.

You know my feelings on it. The defense philosophy will change when the offense starts putting the defense in better positions. I would argue the draft already shows a commitment to fixing the issues.

That is wishful thinking but when you run on every 1st and 2nd down it is not even a gamble. Couple that with we still don't have a QB i don't think DCs will be shaking in their boots
