Watt skipping mandatory mini camp per Schefter

We must resign him. Tomlin must have players that can prepare themselves and learn on their own. If Tomlin brings in a new guy he will be on his own. Tomlin does not teach or coach.

And this is why we're mediocre. The rah rah **** doesn't do a thing. Anyone can be a cheerleader.

I hope they can iron this out,but Watt is under contract for this season. They could franchise tag him for the next season as well.

I'm not sure how this plays out,but given their so called commitment to winning seasons,it would leave a massive hole trading him.

Still. That defense is leading the NFL in cost, but yet it's not producing for the investment.

Of course running the same **** for 15+ years won't help it.

Even Bradshaw picked that out years ago; apparently he can't even spell cat if you spot the c and the t.

Guess Terry is a bit more on the ball than Dookie.

Terry played for one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL. A real teacher who got the very best out of his players.

How Bradshaw spelled cat?

Called his own plays on the wAy to becoming superbowl MVP twice while going 4-0 in Title games.

Noll and Bradshaw bested the so called great Tom Landry twice.

Neither of them ever got the credit they deserved, but the results speak for themselves.

Seems like Watt is a hostage at the moment....not a volunteer.....wonder what Tomlin is thinking on the matter? 🤔

I can't speak for Watt. I have zero idea what's going on behind the scenes. If he's just looking for another massive payday on top of the one he already got, that's a tough spot to overcome for the team.

You can't pay everyone at every position top dollar all the time. It's hard to even figure this team is even close to championship level.

I can only think of guys like Sidney Crosby, who is one of the greatest hockey players of all time. He certainly took below his market value, because he wanted to win Stanley Cups and you need money for other players to do that.

Watt has already earned around 110 million, he will make another 21 million this season. I'd do a 4 year deal tops with more money upfront in bonus and guaranteed money on 3 years.
How much is the issue. The market is already ridiculously high from idiot teams(the browns) overpaying.

If they're going to overpay, now is the time since they won't have to pay a franchise quarterback for years.

Will it get you to the superbowl? Not without a new coaching staff. In my opinion. But it can help get you to your standard 9+ win season. Which i pray every year this ridiculous status quo changes one way or another.
