Cam Heyward wants a new deal

Well that’s not very progressive of you…Timesarechanged…I guess you’re one of those progress for me but not for thee hypocrites

I won’t even touch the other thing you said here, cringe
The guy is an Asshated Titstick anyway, so who really gives him a second thought

The players want a bigger piece of the pie, the owners want to control serving size.

In the end, players will get their money, the owners will increase pricing and the sheeple will pay the man.

I actually think the NFL has peaked in fandom. The NFL now2 has gone to acquiring addicts, gambling addicts to prey on.

I agree I just think they are taping out on revenue stream. What's left?

Just look at what Jerry jones does in dallas... they are lucky there arent sponsors for every blade of grass there

And there is plenty of ad space to sell on uniforms still...

Plus soon there will be VR rights and holographic rights... plenty left to tap

Joking aside... someone should build a holographic off site stadium... that would be cool

they still have the European market, Mexico / Canada…………. World Wide Global conquer

Personally, I have always loved football. The Pro-Level has been a passion of mine since I became a Steelers fan almost 60 years years ago.

Morph to today’s time and I have lost a lot of interest to the point of Steelers only and very limited on that. This current coaching and owner have caused me even less interest. Compound the entitled players………… and cost of not only the game tickets but just watching them in any format.

That’s why I want the GREED MACHINE to take a big hit and Jon Gruden is currently the man batting.

LOL, now Cam has Ramsey and Slay on his podcast telling Kahn and the FO to pay Cam and to value him, Ramsey said I know what it's like to not be valued.

Cam is really turning into a little cry baby. Highest extension for a defensive player over 31 yrs old in NFL history in 2020. Then coming off a bad injury plagued season in 2023, they still gave him a 3 year extension at the age of 35, even after he hinted at playing in Cleveland, but now he's not valued. LOL

And he calls out other players going through contract issues, like Bell and Rodgers.

Because he is a "Hold-In" does not mean he isn't a distraction.

By bringing these other two players to his pod-cast, he is (whether intentional or not) putting a divide3 in the locker room.

If this persists, I see a trade coming. You can't start a season with a player bringing divide into the team.

Cam or no Cam, that is coming sooner than we think.

If I am the front office I would just tell Cam ...you are signed. We are not redoing your contract. Either go home or play. Not hard at all. The fact that the FO is letting Cam "Hold in" seems to suggest that they will rework his contract, which is unfortunate as an organization moving forward. The team isn't holding Cam hostage....the team is letting Cam hold them hostage. Sad

I was against giving him the money last season. Everyone talks/talked how he was the "team" leader. I strongly disagree. When we needed a real team leader with AB fiasco Cam was silent. In fact, Miller is the only player that I heard/read that put AB in his place. Shame thing about Cam and his lack of being a true leader is he was surrounded by so many real leaders when he was drafted. None of it seemed to rub off onto him though. You could say maybe a bit of AB has rubbed off and is showing now.

Oh. I forgot....

**** Cam!!!!!

Damn FO needs to not fold on this front.......but we all know they will.

They let Najee for less than this. He spoke up when things weren't going well - gone.

George was about to turn into AB Jr. - gone.

Minkah was forced to play more LB than safety and he was told that his play was below the line - gone.

I see a trend. Cam better start packing...

AB was statistically one of the very best WR to ever do it. Cam is a bum in comparison.
Brown may have had locker room issues, but he more than made up for it on the field. Cam is creating problems in the locker room and publicly in the media.
Say what you want about AB, he always performed and was never a whiny victim card player.

Cam has no problem with the I was All Pro, really yet how many times as he was in the lineup did the offense score late and this defense under his leadership allowed teams to go right down the field and score. Last year Dallas and Clevland foe example. He took the three year guarantee and the Steelers gave it to him because he wanted security for his family, yet February he forgot all that. He wanted to feel appreciated...130million he was appreciated by the Steelers and then he wants to say they giggled at him. He has been a great man as well as Steeler but he now seems to forget Be a Steeler or Not a Steeler. He now is becoming another NFL greedy payer.

Tomlin talks about hostages. Well the team is being held hostage. They rigged up some stuff to have a successful season. Boswell and Heyward know it. So they are asking something the team doesn't do. If they can find creative things around it where they can satisfy them so be it. Otherwise I role with the rookie and Benton and use Heywards money to bring in vet depth. And the kid who is kicking now gets the job. The whiney wolves will be at the door every year if you straight give in. Under appreciated. **** off Cam.

And here is the facts for both Cam and Bos. You can sit out till week whatever but you will virtually lose all you could gain with a renegotiation. And the team has you both for two more seasons. So your choice is
A. Play on your agreed upon deal.
B. Forfeit most of the money you would gain from the renegoatiation.
C. Retire and get Zippo Lighter.
And the reality here people is you could be without Cam Heyward easily by week 3 via injury at his age. So that is the way Id frame it. If he was willing to open up the contract and place realitic insentives only. That can be done.

Some media outlets are starting to turn on Cam, and still doing his podcast and titling it "live from camp" is a REALLY BAD LOOK. We've all seen how this fanbase can be, they can and will turn on you in an instant.

And as far as the giggle. I would not have giggled. Id have said. Cam this is your final contract with this club. You are going to have to be happy with it or do not sign it and retire.

Fully agree berm.

Cam is blowing things up by getting players to take sides and divide.

He is thinking the front office will cave because they don't want that kind of turmoil.

Cam did this sort of thingy during last contract negotiation and relied on his WALTER PAYTON MOY award to assist, all well knowing the Rooney's suck that stuff up.

You have a seasoned troublemaker when it comes to getting what he wants.

I want closure, regardless of how.

Cam and the agent should've asked for some incentives then.

Especially when you threaten to leave for a rival, when you tell other players that are going through negotiations that you either want to be on the bus or not and it looks like Leveon doesn't want to be on the bus, or when you say you either want to be a steeler or not, no skin off my back I'm tired of it or whatever that quote was in regards to Rodgers.

I think fans just care about things that don’t really matter at this point, and it’s fueled by others who don’t really understand the financials behind NFL contracts.

It boils down to one question for me - do you see him as a top 15 DT in the NFL right now?
If you say yes, which most of us will, then he’s underpaid.

The money wouldn’t even be a conversation if the media didn’t want it to be. We wouldn’t even know contract numbers and you wouldn’t care.

And there’s no other free agent that giving him a raise would hinder us from signing.

So in summary, who cares.

It all boils down to what would happen to YOU.

If you signed a contract last year, some company would hold you to it,, and tell you piss off if you didnt like it.

But this is different.

Same as why everyone wants to see the Epstein list. They could give two ***** about the victims or Epstein being dead or who he worked for.

But we sure as **** know that if there was a list for us poor folk. That would be public information and evidence. And heads would roll.

Pisses us off that our captain is acting like a Dallas Cowboy.
