Congress needs to recalibrate which government employees are "essential" during government shutdowns.
Military, air traffic controllers, and TSA agents are essential.
Congress is not essential.
The only way we get there is with 60 Senators though.

It's an easy fix. Call (you're especially good at calling) Chuck Schumer and tell him to open the government and to drop his ridiculous $1.5T in extra demands (and remind him, his party isn't in power and to stop trying to hold the country hostage).

Once again, this schtick of the Looney Liberals is deceptive and more dangerously conveys the message - "we are ok with crime and murder." The whole ploy is literally to ignore what's actually happening by painting a rosy, false narrative.
  • If I go to the South Side of Chicago and film hours of videos of myself in parks with kids playing, does it negate the FACT that murders happen there nightly?
  • Does it negate for the 13th consecutive year, the city of Chicago once again reigned as the nation’s homicide capital in 2024 with 573 murders?
  • Does it negate Chicago's murder rate per capita among big cities at 21.5 per 100,000 population leads the nation (3x the levels of Los Angeles and nearly 5x New York City)?
No. Gov JB Back Ribs standing by the lake in a flak jacket joking about "the enormous amounts of violence" while being interviewed by Kimmel is offensive. If I was a mother in the South Side, I'd be seething seeing this. The Governor, the Mayor, the lot of them are simply pulling a curtain over the problem we ALL KNOW EXISTS that should be fixed. But they go on TV basically saying "we have no intention of addressing this problem that's gone on forever. Your lives, even your black lives, don't matter."
