College Football Week 9

and other **** drive

coogs punt it back to sun devils with 2:03 on the clock

they take over at their own 5 with one time out

Coogs go on the road and take down a ranked opponent (yeah it is only #24) 24-16

Weigman only goes for 201 through the air but rushes for another 111 (sun devils had 98 yards rushing) Weigman not really a running QB but he made some plays with his feet tonight.

I wonder if pitt will jump into the rankings now
Maybe, but they have to leapfrog like ten teams
They will be a top ten scoring offense after this week... and if they beat Stanford next week, they finish the year with three consecutive ranked teams... if they win out ( they wont) they will have a solid ranking.

The big issue is that they just havebt played anyone really... they have 2 losses, both that should have been wins, but one was to a 2-6 WV team in OT and while a 4 th quarter loss to a currently top 20 ranked louisville squad isnt bad, they really are the only team they played

Their 4 ACC wins are to 4 of the bottom 5 ACC teams...
their other two wins are against a MAC and a NEC team...
i mean again, if they win out and take down 3 consecutive top ten teams... they will be a borderline top ten team, but lets be real, there is a far better chance they end on a three game losing streak

With Sark now looking to jump to the NFL and other results, possible job openings

Penn State
Florida
UCLA
Virginia Tech
Oklahoma State
Arkansas
Texas?
LSU?
Oklahoma?
Florida State?
Clemson?
Auburn?
Wisconsin?
South Carolina?
Kentucky?

Now consider the other jobs that may be open due to coaches jumping ship
Ole Miss
Missouri
Arizona State
Iowa State
Nebraska
South Florida
Bama? - as i mentioned earlier. DeBoer is a northern guy and maybe does not like a Bama seat that is warm to hot at all times
Louisville
Ohio State - what if Day wins back to back titles and decides to try his luck in the NFL?
Illinois - Bielama is a good coach. Some team could make him an offer

This offseason will be nuts.

Can we interest anyone in a slightly used Mike Tomlin?

Texas A&M looks like the real deal.

Not impressed with Simpson or Sellers today. Please bring ARod back and pass on a QB in 2026.

I’m for this as well as it would give Will Howard another year being mentored by one of the best.

Might even get Will “far enough” to where the tomlin will not ruin him as fast.

Everyone should watch the Pitt-NC game to check on the new turf.

I don’t like the striped side end zone.

Can’t they afford to put panther for college and steelers for pro’s game(s)……………..

I mean, their MO is they will beat GT, but they will first lose to Stanford and then be leading late vs Notre Dame and blow it... whatever scenario make it seem that they could have done something great but absolutely blew it... thats what they do
We'll see. Every year I look forward to the start of the season for Pitt, and then just like the Steelers, expectations get lowered.
I do like Heintschel showing maturity for a true freshman, but Reid can't stay healthy and then there is the Narduzzi factor.
If they manage a win in Palo Alto it will build momentum, but the last 3 games are killers.

I expected Pitt to go 6-6 or 7-5 this year and they are right on schedule. That is assuming a win over Stanford or an upset win in the final three. It's too bad they screwed up against WVU--a game that should've been a blowout--and blew the big lead against Louisville.
