No Kings

Is the U.S. a representative DEMOCRACY or not? YES or NO?

Representative democracy? That’s different.
You changed your tune… initially asserting that the US is a democracy period.

In order for me to answer your question, you must first clarify if you have conceded to the fact that the US is not a democracy, but rather a republic with democratic elements.

Ze is unhinged and panicky, like all the evil libtards are right now.

Stop truncating my posts and leaving the rest of the sentence out.

Repeat #9: We are a CONSTITUTIONAL FEDERAL REPUBLIC. That is our CORE system. The fact that it exhibits some DEMOCRATIC principles does NOT negate that we are a constitutional federal republic.

He already did.
He knows he's wrong.
Just trolling as usual.
I believe he's attempting to dethrone Kamala Harris as Word Salad Queen.
Our republic has democratic principles, mainly that political power is supposed to lie with the people.

we were a democracy four years ago when everyone was essentially forced to submit to getting a clot shot. some of us held out, though.

Well I decided to be a hardliner in this case.
I want him to admit he was wrong directly, not in a roundabout way.

That’s impossible for a liberal to do, and it’s not what trolls do either.

Unrelated to this topic, it brought to mind a quote by Dennis Prager about liberals and their many failed policies.

On failed policies….“Being a liberal means never having to say you’re sorry, because it was the thought that counts.”

Just be proud of yourself and move on to the next one.

😂 Dude!

You are literally trying to argue that a representative democracy is not a DEMOCRACY.

Democracy is the noun. I didn’t change anything. Tim, by being to lazy to go back and see what was being argued, inadvertently proved that I’m correct.

I’m loving this!

Dodge.

Are you now saying that it’s now inaccurate to call the U.S. a representative democracy? Yes or no?

Are republic and democracy mutually exclusive? Yes or no?

Again, you backed up both of the very things I stated with your post.

You lost this argument 6 pages ago. Collectively, we can't comprehend the stupidity you insist on continuing to demonstrate. Take the civics course tard. We beg you.

SO rich.
Accusing someone of dodge.
Mr. Kettle, please introduce yourself to Mr. Pot.
You are Duck Dodger himself.
Mr. Kamala Word Salad.
You already agreed with us and called our government "Our Republic".
I have quoted and posted it multiple times over, since you seemingly suffer from amnesia and/or retardation.
Keep repeating the lie over and over, maybe one day it'll be a boy, Pinocchio.

FIFY and stumbled onto yet another nickname for Flog

Why do you refuse to acknowledge that you said a representative DEMOCRACY is an accurate description?
So in short:

The U.S. is a democracy in form (it uses democratic elections), but a republic in structure (it’s governed by elected representatives under a constitution).

That’s why terms like “democratic republic” or “representative democracy” are both accurate descriptions.

Although just my opinion, this is where the lunatic fringe of the left loses any credibility as far as making a point, rational or otherwise.
They will concede nothing when factually proven wrong, never answer a direct question and deflect from the subject at hand when losing an argument.

More and more people are beginning to see this, those for hate for one man never will. Personally, I'm not without fault and will admit when I'm wrong, because I'm not insane.

Why do you refuse to acknowledge that you said a representative DEMOCRACY is an accurate description?
And why do you refuse to acknowledge you've already YOURSELF referred to it correctly as OUR REPUBLIC?
ALL this insane circular description switching just arrives back at my original point.
Our government is a Republic.
You said so yourself.

Why do you refuse to acknowledge that you said a representative DEMOCRACY is an accurate description?

What you are doing, because you are a child, is persisting an argument you've had your *** beaten on, looking for any little way to use semantics to be able to say "See! The word Democracy is there, so I'm right." You simply refuse to agree with the Founders, every encyclopedia ever written, every textbook ever published, every constitutional scholar, and the basic facts themselves. The sign of pure idiocy.

Here is the full, LITERAL textbook definition....Uhhhhgain.

The United States is a democratic republic — or more precisely, a constitutional federal republic with democratic principles.

Here’s what that means broken down:

  • Republic: Power ultimately rests with the people, but they govern through elected representatives rather than directly voting on every law. The U.S. Constitution sets up this system of representative government and limits the powers of both government and majority rule.
  • Democratic: The system is based on popular sovereignty — the idea that government derives its legitimacy from the consent of the governed. Citizens have rights to vote, run for office, and influence laws through democratic processes.
So in short:

The U.S. is a democracy in form (it uses democratic elections), but a republic in structure (it’s governed by elected representatives under a constitution).

That’s why terms like “democratic republic” or “representative democracy” are both accurate descriptions.

Focus on the first description, the first sentence very very carefully. That is what we are. A Constitutional Federal Republic.

You have feminine tendencies, speak with a lisp, wear Celine Dion t-shirts, bathe in bubbles and bath salts, and never miss your weekly manicure. That doesn't make you a female. You just have female tendencies.

A "representative Democracy" is not a pure "Democracy." You continue to argue we're not a Constitutional Federal Republic. You will be wrong with every insistence otherwise.

Blather on Tard.

I am not!
Read what was written, then answer a valid question that would be presented in a civics test you troglodyte.

Choose the best answer.
The United States is a Constitutional:

A. Republic
B. Democracy
C. Republic having certain democratic elements.

And not a peep out of you until you do.

Oh, I think he's serious, but not worth responding to directly.

I have to disagree. Ze told us in the Covid thread ze walks 84 miles per day on the golf course, and kills one of his dogs a week in so doing. Ze is the master of time management.
