We won. Stop complaining
Tomlin didn't play it aggressively at the end of the first half; he totally played for a field goal, not a TD.Game balls:
-Tomlin-for playing more aggressive, he talked about having to score TDs to win (a few years late to this philosophy) and backed it up with play calls.
Two fourth down attempts including trying to go for the TD off the fumbled punt. The time management at the end of the half was atrocious.Tomlin didn't play it aggressively at the end of the first half; he totally played for a field goal, not a TD.
The Steelers got the ball with 3:19 left on their own 18, ran it twice for 10 yards down to the 2-minute warning, got 16 yards on a short pass to Gainwell out to the 44, and didn't run another play for almost 40 seconds. Ran it again for 3 yards, got a gift 15-yard personal foul penalty to set them up 1st-and-10 on the Colts' 30 with almost a minute left, threw an incompletion, gained 6 yards on an in-bounds pass to Jonnu Smith, and then they just let another THIRTY-ONE seconds tick off the clock despite having two timeouts left. Of course, they eventually are forced to kick a chipshot FG from the 7 on third down as Tomlin takes his last timeout with him into the locker room.
Sacrificing a potential 4 points in a close game is not aggressive football. Luckily, Indianapolis kept giving the ball back to the Steelers again and again on turnovers. Games won't play out that way the vast majority of the time.
Roman Wilson is just a kid trying too hard to earn playing time. I hope he doesn't get punished for it. I think he learned his lesson.
Exactly right @Fiji Mariner .
@ San Diego....errrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....Los Angelas will be a huge test for this team, particularly the Defense, in consistency. The Chargers have three very good receivers, so I would expect the secondary to have at least two PI calls and some big plays against them.
Aaron and Co. are going to have to convert and score.
Carolina won too, doesn't mean I would stop complaining and expecting a better product for the fan base.
We won. Stop complaining
So a stupid kid that couldn’t learn the playbook last year and now making stupid situational plays in year 2.
I hope they trade him to Dallas before the trade deadline
That game should be a good test indeed
Tomlin generally shows well vs Harbaugh and they were able to handle the Chargers last year, but that was a home game.
Going west may be more of a challenge for a team that generally sleep walks into games in their own time zone.
Gotta feeling McConkey and Johnson both go for over 100. This game will require another clean slate from Rodgers where he is effective in the RZ and a sighting from the run game would be a huge bonus to keep our D on the sidelines more often. I don’t see how the Steelers win without at least a +2/+3 in TO margin.
But we have Boz!!!!
And maybe Watt can put together a string of games here, his stats usually come in bunches and maybe the Dolts woke him up
Panthers catching strays
Carolina has an arrow pointing in a better direction than the Steelers
Coach with a brain![]()
Better D on half the salary space![]()
Dominant RB![]()
Young QB![]()
The Panthers, a team that hasn’t broke the 5 win threshold in years are closer to winning a SB than the Steelers are…that’s pretty sad
Berm the complaining won’t stop until Tomlin is gone and this historic D stops sucking out loud AND they make a SB run…so it’s gonna be at least a couple more years of complaining
Buckle up and enjoy the bumpy ride![]()
