Raven's were Robbed!!
Criminal.
These Ref's are 100% crooked
That "No Catch" was the most obvious and blatantly bad call I have ever seen.
We are at a point where the refs can make any call and reverse anything they want to decide games. Which they did yesterday.
They can even admit it was wrong after the fact, what can anyone do? Nothing!
Reminds me of when the Saints were robbed a few years ago and missed the playoffs.

Makes me sick to think about if it happened the other way around?
That call was 1000% indefensible.
It's not right. Getting harder and harder to be a fan of this game.
What's right is right and wrong is wrong, even if we benefited.

Just calling balls and strikes

Steelers were robbed of bullshit rules before, so it just was the rats turn. They want it to change lobby to get the dumb arse rule changed.

Not the refs fault the rule is in place.

Well, it was damn close and could have gone either way.
Rules state the receiver has to come down and make three steps with possession. It was close but Joey P. knocked it out just before that third step his right foot came down. It was close no doubt nd the Steelers were very lucky to get that call.
I think the ref who overturned it is from Shadyside. Just kidding!

Jessie made the catch, too.

**** the Ravens.

although, had we not won, we wouldn't be positioned to back into the division, another Tomlinship and be rewarded with ANOTHER first round exit capped off by a Tomlin contract extension after Luke Smith is scapegoated.

yes, luck o'the Irish.

I’ve I spend some of my best days of my life in Shadyside!
Family belonged to Sacred Heart Parish went to elementary school for eight years there, and also worked on Walnut Street at the Rite Aid for several years in high school and college.

Not three steps, but a football move

1) possesion
2) two feet or body part in bounds
3) football move

Has to be in that order.

If the receiver would have pulled the ball in close, that would have established a football move, the third step would establish a football move.

Jesse James caught/established possession, knee down in bounds, twisted and extended across the goal line (football move). It was a catch and a TD because anything that happens after breaking the plain, is irrelevant. UNtIL the NY gets ahold of it.

Salute the nation

It was close and that is one hard luck receiver. Isaiah Likely is the one who dropped the ball before crossing the goal line in the Bengal game.

By the rule it was a no catch, but like I posted in another thread, in order for the Steelers to win they need things out of the ordinary to happen

Always remember Shadyside as a very nice community. High end neighborhoods, very nice houses. At least that’s what I remember.
That’s where Cool Shades lives I believe.

Meh after looking into it the NFL called the Likely thing correctly based on their own BS interpretations... if I was a Ravens fan, id be more livid about the rodgers fumble... his knee was down, but Harbaugh claiming he was going to the ground might be legit..

What was the roughing the center call or whatever it was, isn't the rule, you can line up directly over the center and or make contact with the head or neck, I thought that was a bad call

That's not what the rule says and you'll be surprised when you read it. Third foot is not in the rules, I think Harbaugh said that on purpose to accentuate how ridiculous the call was

The point of this debate is to highlight how the rules were changed ostensibly to clarify the existing rules, inconsistency in applying those rules, and prevent subsequent controversy

What they actually did was make the rules murky, thereby giving themselves control over the results

They being the league office .

They got three big calls wrong yesterday and the debate will continue because the rules are **** and the calls were blatantly wrong, according to a plain reading of the rules

Really Supe?!
You know timing is everything, especially when it comes to idioms..
I don’t think you read the room well on that one. 😁
i read the braille painting as Tomlin called it out on his ham radio.

You’re correct ..
Shadyside is a nice neighborhood in the East End of section of Pittsburgh. While it was and I believe it still is.?
Coach cool shades lives in the neighborhood next to Shadyside called squirrel Hill. My youngest brother lives fairly close to him several blocks away.

Oh man I remember Squirrel Hill. Very affluent area!
Remember that really good restaurant I think it was Polis. My spelling is probably incorrect but that was a good restaurant back in the day.

Interesting! I thought the receiver had to take three steps with the ball to show possession.
I think I need to go put on my tin foil cap. This sounds now like a conspiracy.

I believe Poli’s is gone but Alieo’s, Napoli’s and Mineo’s are still there.
The great yinzer debate is which one makes the best pizza?!

Yeah. I did too, but Harbaugh is always pushing the limits on those plays, so when the snapper went down the refs assumed something rather than saw something... that shouldnt have been called

You’re not wrong, at all

We’d all be livid today if the situation were reversed

It was not a bad call. It is the rules. You must get 2 feet down AND make another football move. The replay shows him getting 2 steps, and before his 3rd step, the ball was coming out. Therefore, it is incomplete per the NFL rules. Even getting a 3rd step down won't always mean it was a football move. We've been there and done that. The rule sucks, but it was the correct call based on current NFL rules.

And, yes, the officials do suck. Even when they get a call coming in from the NFL office, it's not always correct.

you guys got several pretty bad calls. Yeah I guess the likely thing might have been to the letter of the law an incompletion, but it shouldnt have been. if he had stopped, or tucked the ball, or turned it was a td. The NFL doesnt release the full rulebook. they call it "proprietary trade secrets" and only give us the simplified one. it probably would be better if they just put out the full thing with all the examples of what they want called and dont want called and let the public understand these things..

but regardless the refs yesterday were really bad... youngest ref crew and they call the second most total penalties and get a ton wrong..

I'm just glad most of the big ones were in the Steelers favor this time

Well if the refs are 100% crooked then so is league. It was the proper call according to them.
The league will admit to bad calls and issue apologies to the teams.
I believe the Steelers received a few of those.
